A:Â No air, thus can never leak! This tire was a terrific upgrade to my older wheelbarrow. It isn't used very often, and in the past I always found the tire flat when I went to use it. No longer! Happy consumer.

A:Â I have one of these wheels on my wheelbarrow for over 20 years. The rim has started to rust but the tire itself is fine getting ready to buy a second one to convert it over to a 2 wheel wheelbarrow. My wheelbarrow stays outside also.

A:Â I bought a pair of these for my wagon. Mine started cracking after a couple of years. The pictures are after approximately 6 years so will have to replace in the spring. Always kept outside, and occasionally in direct sunlight.

Dry rotten after 2 years
Still barely hanging on after 2 years but falling apart and huge splits all over, just from storage. If I used this frequently it would be in pieces. Fortunately I have another wheelbarrow. Was stored on the shady north side of my house, in the northeast USA, very little use. Last "Marathon" brand and last time buying tires at a hardware store for me.

Tired of having to refill the tires on your yard cart? Or worse, fixing flats?
You'll be doing "cart wheels" over this Marathon 14.5 in Flat-Free tire to replace them. (yep, pun intended).
Although slightly narrower and taller than the tire it replaced on my yard cart (a Craftsman 10 cu. ft. Poly Cart), the wheels cleared the fender, and elevated the cart slightly, making it more level than the OEM conventional tires.
The instructions for swapping out the bearings (for the larger diameter axle) are a little unclear. If your cart requres the larger bearings, nsert a large screwdriver through the center and gradually tap out the smaller bearing from the inside.
Just installed a pair of these last month (June 2020), so I can't report on durability, but the tire material appears to be durable (without being overly stiff). Will monitor wear and tear, as well as weatherability (especially sun exposure) and report back next year.

Anyone can change a wheel
I bought a True Temper duel wheel about 6 years ago and every Spring I have to pump up the tires! I Had enough and this year I decided to buy flat free tires. So went on line to see what size I needed. Someone recommended Jaskson flat free tires, which they didn’t fit the duel tires. So back to the store I went, stood outside for 30 minutes with mask

I have a large wheelbarrow that's about 15 years old, and the inflatable tire got a cut in the sidewall. Had to replace the tire, but when I saw this on the shelves I decided to get the flat-free wheel instead.
Install was simple. This new wheel is the same diameter as my old one, so I was confident it would fit. I removed the four bolts holding the axle in place on the wheelbarrow frame, and removed the old wheel/tire from the axle. The kit comes with two different size bearings, which is cool, because all I needed to do was try the bearings on my axle to see which ones fit. I slid the new wheel onto the axle and then picked the right sized spacers (the kit came with a couple different sizes) and re-installed the bolts.
There's not much that can go wrong with a flat-free wheel once it's installed. It rotates. It holds weight. I'm happy. Definitely worth every penny!

The tires were easy yo install due the fact that they came with several parts to accommodate a variety of situations. Installation took less than 10 minutes for both, and the size was a perfect match to the old tires. I was surprised that they included a grease nipple.

Being difficult to find a pneumatic tire, original was tubeless, in the proper size I turned to this tire instead. It was close enough to the original so it at least fit onto the wheelbarrow. It functions very well and not having to worry about proper inflation ever is great. The only reason for a one star deduction were the required use of spacers for my wheelbarrow. The spacers are plastic and are limited as to choice of dimensions, so while the fit is good it's not perfect. I had to use two on one side and three on the other, the wheel is slightly off center. Questioning how long the plastic spacers will last is yet to be determined. For now everything is okay and have no regrets in the purchase.

Worth it!
Like just about everyone else in the northeast at this time of year, I pulled out my wheelbarrow for the first time this spring to find my tire was flat. Unfortunately mine required multiple "fill-ups" in a Saturday afternoon which pushed me to get a new tire. I couldn't be happier! First installation was simple - took all of about five minutes, and the wheel came with all the spacers you need. I love that everything was included so I didn't have to go looking for spacers, etc. Second, my wheelbarrow rides as smooth and sturdy as ever. Third - I LOVE knowing I will never need to take out my compressor just to use my wheelbarrow again. This tire isn't cheap, but it is well worth it.
This 14.5" universal, pneumatic, air-filled wheel is made of contractor grade material. The load rating is 350 lbs. with a knobby tread pattern. This high quality rubber wheel includes a universal adapter kit and bushings.
The all-new Gorilla flat free tire does not need air and features a solid polyurethane design so you'll never be stuck with a flat tire, a great replacement for pneumatic air-filled tire. Features heavy-duty bushing, 5/8 in. axle bore and includes an adapter kit for proper fitting. The universal adapter kit allows you to use these tires with any make or model requiring a 16 in. tire.
