EB and Masonite. Calling the store wouldn't help. They would have to open the package and measure it unless it's listed on the outside. 77 1/2'' is about right because it's made for a Retro French Patio door. 72'' x 80'' is just the "call out" size. Kinda like a 2x4 isn't 2''x4''. The Patio French net's out @ 71 1/2'' x 79 1/2'' whereas a double door in fiberglass or steel for your entry with the same "call out" of 72 x 80 nets out @ 74'' x 81 1/2''. Wood nets @ 73 1/2'' x 82ish if they don't cut it down. 71 1/2'' x 79 1/2'' is a standard sliding patio door size (for the last 20 years) which is really just a large window that you can walk through. Prior to that they could be as much as 2'' taller and up to 1 1/2'' narrower. All have been referred to as "72x80". The Retro French was designed to replace the sliding door. This concludes our door lesson for today...

Hello Gknee, Everything is included in the box. Please see link below for the instructions that can be found under the Info & Guides section. https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/0e/0e8b49f5-4603-4914-b1c6-5badb759a45a.pdf
Hello John , you will have to go to the Home Depot and special order the screen
First, and most important, NO....this screen kit does not come with a bottom track. It utilizes the pre-installed integrated track that is built into Masonite Patio Doors. But I'd bet that it would not be too hard to find an aftermarket bottom track. Either that or request that Masonite sell you a top track and cut off the drip edge (see photo). The ideal dimensions are as follows: side to side: 71" is perfect, but can go as low as 69 5/8, but no less otherwise you lose your bug seal. Top to Bottom: 78" is perfect....you can perhaps go 1/2" either way, but strive for 78" These dimensions are brick-mold to brick-mold and sill to brickmold
Hello Kimmee, If your door unit was purchased through Home Depot, then a screen door kit would be available to purchase through special order at your local Home Depot millwork department, however, if your door unit was not purchased through Home Depot, then the screen door may not be compatible with your door unit.
