Nothing protects quite like a roof. That's why millions of Americans live, work, and play under quality products from North America's largest roofing manufacturer - GAF.
Include 1 sq. ft. of attic ventilation, evenly split between intake and exhaust, for every 300 sq. ft. of attic floor space.
Review the ventilation options below to determine the best fit for your home application.
Quickly removes large volumes of heat and moisture from your attic.
Allows excess heat and moisture to escape your attic without the need for electric hook-up.
Utilizes the wind to pull heat and moisture from attic; acts as a static exhaust vent when wind is still.
Allows cooler, fresh air to enter the attic at/near the soffits driving heat and moisture out higher exhaust vents.
Here are some poor attic ventilation warning signs that you may recognize:
Excess attic heat can cause your cooling system to work harder, raising your energy costs.
Inadequate ventilation can cause your roof shingles to curl and crack.
Excess attic moisture can drip into attic insulation reducing effectiveness, even damaging ceilings below.
Excessive moisture can cause dangerous mold and mildew causing additional concerns.
Ice dams can cause expensive leaks and damage in attics, as well as living spaces.
