Product Details

Master Flow Flexible Duct and Sheet Metal Connector Splice Collar serve as a coupling between 2 sections of insulated flexible duct. Both ends of the connector have a bead to provide adequate holding power. Each end is also crimped to ensure an easy fit every time.
  • 2-stop beads provide adequate holding power for two separate tie straps
  • Crimped on both sides for an easy fit
  • Always seal seams with code approved mastic or sealant (or duct tape)
  • Install with sheet metal screws
  • Features a maximum temperature rating of 390°F

Q:Can I use this to attach the flexible aluminum vent hose to a 90-degree joint at the wall? I know the hose is supposed to go inside in the direction of air flow, but I can't make it work! Could I put both parts over this collar?

A:  Sure, if the hose doesn't fit over the collar (it should), just put a small notch in the collar. Recommend large hose clamps (4 inch ??)

            A:  You will need to cut one of the crimped ends of the splice to fit over the dryer exhaust.

              A:  Only if you cut off the crimped section on one end. Almost always the dryer exhaust fitting is crimped and therefore made to enter into another section of ductwork. Tape up the joints for max flow and safety.

                Was what I needed
                This is a steel duct adapter and so far has proven sturdy. It is a lot sturdier that the aluminum duct that comes with dryer exhaust vent assemblies. With a little coaxing was able to fit it into an aluminum duct that was cut off even with the drywall. The fit was a very tight fit

                Used this with some 2' & 4' pieces of vent...
                Used this with some 2' & 4' pieces of vent pipe and some adjustable elbows. Replacing all the flimsy, cheap thin Semi rigid vent conduit. I have straight lines above a drop down ceiling to back of dryer. This will make it easier to clean out with the drill kit and brush.

                  Easy Master Flow 4” Connection made quick.
                  I purchased this Master Flow 4” Flexible Duct Connector from Home Depot. I just purchased a Samsung Washer and Dryer from Home Depot and I needed this connector to tie in the new dryer 4” line into the 4” exhaust flex duct running to the outside of the house. It’s the perfect product for the transition.
