The GAF Master Flow Aluminum Slant Back Roof Louver is designed for attic ventilation. The fully enclosed hood deters rodent and insect infiltration and leaf and pine needle clogging. The aluminum slant back roof louver is an excellent choice against weather infiltration, especially in steep-slope applications. Each vent offers a full 60 sq. in. of net free ventilating area (NFA).

Will it accept a 10 inch vent pipe?
No, this product is designed for attic space ventilation and does not include a duct connection. If you have additional questions regarding Master Flow products, please contact MasterFlowTech@gaf.com.
Why do the louvers on front and sides angle inwards from top to bottom. This channels water into the cover as it flows down the sides.
This allows for proper airflow as the collar inside is the same height as the top opening and allows any water infiltration to flow out from the bottom of the hood.
Does it have a screen that is fine enough to keep insects (specifically wasps and Asian lady beetles) out of my attic?
This model does not come with a screen. The design Helps resist weather and pest infiltration. The SSB960AWF has the optional weather- and ember-resistant screen for added protection.
Is this paintable?
This material already has a baked-on finish. While painting is possible, we do not currently have a procedure for it.
How many of these vents will I need to ventilate 400 ft² of my attic
For an attic space of 400 square feet, it appears two SSB960s will be required. Please ensure that you have an equal amount of intake ventilation. For more specific information regarding attic ventilation, you can use the GAF Ventilation Calculator on the GAF.com website.
Is this the right vent to use in an area that gets lots of snow in the winter? Will it keep snow out?
These can be used in areas that have snow, this model has an optional weather filter/screen for added protection
