Not at all good for untilled soil
These pins are not at all good for untilled soil. You must have VERY soft soil or they will bend...see the attached photo. The ground was on the harder side but not solid. I do not recommend these for anything short is freshly tilled ground.

This view is for using the anchors on heavy duty weed//landscape weed fabric. I used plenty of the normal metal stakes for holding down weed fabric in the past, so far these Plastic Anchor Pins blow them away. So far I tried to use as few as possible to see how it holds up. I'm using far less of these than I would the normal metal pin stakes. Its holding up great, had heavy winds and storms and its still tucked away perfectly. So yeah, you don't have to use as many anchors to hold down the Fabric. Its easy to hammer in the ground. The only thing you might run into is, if you hit a rock in the spot your hammering, it can bend the anchor. Take out the anchor and unbend it, it can take a little strength to unbend. You either want to find a new spot, or the better option, you should do what I did and have a "metal" stake with you as well. You can hammer in a pre hole for the ones that you run into problems with. For me, I only had to do this for 2-3 anchors out of about 50. I'm sure it depends on the ground your using them on, some ground might have more big rocks than others. Its been a couple months since I used them, so far they far exceeded my expectations.
