Depending on the temperature cooking and the outdoor temperature, whether the wood is wet or dry. It will be approximately 2 hours of constant smoke. There is no way to add wood without opening the full door.

What meat probe would work with the 30 in Analog Electric Smoker?

Hi Mike, we don't have any recommendations on external meat thermometers for this unit as we do not manufacture any.

Bad from the start
My gf got me this for christmas 2020 and the one handle bolt never thread in correctly. After my second time using it the thermometer shown on the front of door stopped working and is stuck at 150*. This was garage kept and never in the rain. Now after winter i prepared to smoke a ham for easter and when i plugged the smoker in it sparked at the control and started smoking. Once i took it apart i realized the seriousness of the situation and am glad i was there to know it happened or who knows if it wouldve caught fire. Sending message to customer service in hopes they attempt to correct this.

Not worth purchasing
Cheaply built and poorly constructed, contained many construction flaws from the factory including: irregularly cut holes, lack of insulation, thermostat does not properly function, Does not vent adequately.

omg why didnt I get one of these sooner!!!!
This smoker was amazing. It wasnt insanly hard to pit together like our gas grill. It gets hot quickly without the little clasps getting so hot you cant open it which is nice. I was afraid with it being right on the side i would have to open them with grill gloves. I was able to get a whole chicken, a pork butt, and 2 beef half ribs and 2 pork half ribs in to cook together. Cook the chicken and butt for about 7-8 hours and its amazing. The ribs cook for 5 hrs. Then you take out the ribs top them with bbg and place it on the grill for a sec to carmalize and char the sauce and its so good. Best grill/smoker for a cheap price. If you want guick and easy get this. Cleaning the inside after use is a bit of a pain but thats any grill like this. My gas grill is harder to clean than this one.

Don't waste your money
This unit is not insulated. My new unit will only get above 180F. Not hot enough to smoke dry wood chips. The smallest breeze will cause the temperature to drop 10-15 degrees.

Wow! Great smoker!!!
My electric smoker arrived last Monday and after seasoning it yesterday I put to use today. Four pounds of Scottish Salmon, brined over night (nine hours) and smoked for three hours today. Moist, flavorful and delicious! My in-laws couldn’t believe how good it turned out from this small and inexpensive unit. Going to smoke brisket next with confidence!

Works great but has issues
I have had this one for a year and no issues. Kept it in a dry place and took care of it. But I went to use it today and hinges on the door just broke off.. I’m pretty angry and thought it would last longer than a year

Perfect for a beginner
I bought this smoker about a month or so ago and it was the best purchase I have made all year. It was suppose to be a gift for my husband but I have been the one using it more than he has. This is perfect for someone who is a beginner in smoking. Have already recommended this to many of my friends.

First Smoker
Easy assembly, quick set up, follow instructions for curing, smocked a flank steak and some spare ribs with Mesquite chips. 4 hrs at 250 F, came out great, we are on the Medium/Well side in our family, so the time and temp were perfect. Added wood chips (dry) every 45 minutes, worked good, i'm not a pro so I don't know if that's correct, but it worked. Also used the unfiltered vinegar, 1/2 pan, had to re-fill once. During the curing, 3 hrs, I took my time to take notes on the temperature rheostat to note position and temperature given, looks like full max hits around 425-450 rather quick. Overall, easy to use, I'm pretty happy, I will post in about 5-10 uses to update. Had to buy a cover, extra expense.
