With the Gravity Series 800 Digital Charcoal Griddle + Grill + Smoker by Masterbuilt, experience the power of GravityFed charcoal grilling with traditional grates or a full flat top griddle. Purchased May 2022 and June 2022 cntlr broken
I bought this on May 2022 and now it is June 2022 and the controller is broken.
I cannot use the grill and now no fourth of July BBQ. The quality of the controller
is very poor. I am an electrical engineer by profession and this controller is very
poorly made.

Great Smoker, Display Broke in a month
I've used this about 8 times in the past month, and always keep it covered. The display suddenly stopped being legible, with sections of it failed. Very unfortunate.

Wow, initial results, better then expected.
My wife purchased the 1050 for my birthday. I have cooked with many grills over the years and still have a good gas grill.
Assembled in just over 3 hours (myself with help once to turn over). Directions were easy enough to follow.
After seasoning the grill, I cooked a Ribeye steak and a few hamburgers. The 1050 is so easy to control the heat with the electronic heat control. The meat flavor and ease to cook was excellent. Plan to post more after a few uses, very impressed with the heat range for cooking right now.

Bad welds on doors
The lower door on the hopper doesn't have real hinges for some reason, just a couple of welds. They broke off during first cook off. Let's see how masterbuilt stands behind their product.

Excellent grill/smoker
After a month or so i still love this thing. I left the weber smokefire ex6 for this and it has put out much better food than pellets could. It feels pretty well built. It cooks great and smokes a ton, which was my biggest reason for purchasing it. There is a ton of cooking space. Everything comes apart nice and easy to clean as well. The controller isnt bad at all, mine runs within 15-20 degrees below of what its set at but its consistent across the board so thats nice. Things i think it needs is a bigger hopper, better seals on the hopper door and ash tray door, and the app for your phone rarely works if ever. I think for the 1050 it could really benefit from maybe another 6"-12" taller hopper or make the hopper an inch or 2 wider on the insode diameters for enough fuel for 12+ hour smokes. The seals could use like a rope style gasket instead of what they have, the hopper lid does let out a little smoke, doesnt affect your end results at all though. The app does not work for me, as ive tried using it multiple times. That definitely is not a deal breaker at all.

Quality and Reliable Smoker
Fantastic grill/smoker! Gets to desired temperature really quickly and stays exactly where you set it. Easy to reload during long smokes without disrupting the temperature or releasing smoke in the chamber. Multiple temperature probes make it easy to monitor different meats at the same time. App was very easy to connect. All in all, fantastic grill/smoker without breaking the bank!

MB800 - Great Versatility! Does it all VERY well!
THIS THING IS AWESOME!! Very well made, great fit/finish, and presents a good quality feel. Nearly foolproof setup ensures what you're cooking comes out correct. The flavor from charcoal/wood combo is absolutely wonderful. Grill, smoke, sear, griddle, from 200F-700F, this thing does it all and does it all very well.
