Heavy Duty Dual Swing Gate Opener Smart and Solar Capable

We had always wanted an automatic gate opener as part of an upgrade replacing 2 lightweight 6 foot utility farm gates (delivery trucks kept damaging them) to that of a single 14 foot security gate instead. All the components came in a large box but very securely packaged with no damage. The MM572W model opener says its for 2 gates but you can install just one arm by simply using the primary control connection and one arm can support up to 500 lbs. We get a lot of power outages so intend to purchase the solar panel at extra cost later to use with the included battery. Behind the control panel is the hidden battery box which can house up to two batteries. This smart model has the option that can be operated from a cell phone if we buy the connectivity kit (MMS100) & download the Mighty Mule app. I just wish the model MM572W realistically came with more than just the one remote controller for the car but there`s everything included to get you up & running. With this system there are so many options & add-on`s to customize it to anyone`s changing needs like installing a keypad if you have lots of traffic later. This is a top quality gate opener and we are happy with it.

If you are DIYer - this set is an easy option to add an opener for any of your gates (push or pull to open). The kit comes with almost everything one needs to install this opener. A word of advice: 1. Don't drill your gates to install the clamp to attach the arm of the opener (please see pics). We used 1.5" u-bolts (Home Depot - hardware department). On a picture - one can see how we tied them up to function well. This way - one does not compromise the integrity of the gates. 2. We are still yet to install the solar charger - very easy to connect - we will run it straight to battery for charge. You can see on the pictures additional wire sticking out - to connect the solar panel (10-30 Watt). 3. Tweaking of closing range (or opening) - be prepared to pull the pin from the arm (do not install the clip yet) in case you need to do it quick. When we were doing so - on closing - it tried to pull our gates way past the "close" range and pulling the pin and freeing-up the arm was a big help (not to rip the gates and damage it). 4. We ditched the close plate for an extension of a tube (HD Fencing supplies) of the same 1.5" size. Get the kit to connect pipes (fencing department) for 1.5" tubes - it's about 7 bux. Please see pics on how we installed. Very easy. Even though this kit came with two arm (for two gates), we opted to install only one arm for the utility gate we need the most. When installing only one arm - connect it to primary controls (not secondary). The range for the opener is minuscule. 10-15' away - it works when pointed to the opener. Wish the antenna was more powerful. Perhaps the additional MMS100 is an option for us. We will check into it. Overall - took about 2 hours to modify our gates for the install and took about 4 hours in total (with 2 hours of actual install). Very easy process. Instructions/manual are solid. Our gates are light - about 150 lbs. This opener can take up to 850 lbs. gates. Very strong! We already had 260 model installed on one of our existing primary gates and we like Mighty Mule for simplicity and enduring -30 to 105 degree weather winter and summer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! A+++

I have been wanting to change from a single automatic gate to a double gate for quite a while. When I saw this kit at Home Depot I had to get it. The system looks very straight forward to install, and the instructions are excellent. I prefer this unit to what is currently installed as it is low voltage and uses a battery. We have frequent power outages and this will still operate. Be sure your gates are reinforced in the area where the mounts go, and also get conduit to put the wires into. All the mounting hardware is included. There are many accessories available for this opener system that make it very versatile.

Had this shipped to me and I received it in great shape. Everything is packaged very well. Instructions are easy to follow. I did watch the installation on their web site and it was as easy as the video shows. Very little adjustments were needed after the install of this gate opener. They run smoothly. The wiring was easy to follow too. They are easy for one person to install as long as you follow the steps of installation. It comes with only one remote, but you can download the app to your phone and use your phone to open and close it. It comes with one battery, but more can be connected to the system for better operation and if you use it a lot then you will need another battery. Next I'll be connecting the solar panel to it to see how that keeps the battery charged up. So far very happy with this product. The phone app is Mighty Mule Smart control app. I made an account and tried to login to it, but can't for two days now.

Actually, a very, very good product! Handled a 6'lx4'h 2x6framed post/3rail/chain link set of gates fantastically. Pay attention to your weight requirements when purchasing. Slightly intense tweeking process to sync the gates but nothing anyone with common sense can't handle! Read, comprehend, take your time and follow the steps and you'll be fine. I'll purchase again for another customer install for sure.

Love my mighty mule. Works great on my shop doors after a little tweaking.

Works as good as it has been described

Had a mighty mule 562 to begin with had to replace. Like the new version mm 572easy to setup and make function. Seem stronger and faster than old version.
