Product Overview

4 in 1 Hand Truck easily converts from the 2 wheel vertical position to the 4 wheel horizontal position without the use of any bolts or screws. The 4 positions give this unit the capability to be ideal for any size and type of job. It has an 800 lbs. load capacity in the vertical position, 1000 lbs. in the horizontal position and 500 lbs. in the 45° position where the retractable casters are used to help distribute the load during transport. This is very helpful when the load gets more difficult to move/control in the vertical position. The unit helps to reduce back strain while getting the job done. The built-in nose plate extension folds down to support extra-large and bulky loads. 10 in. puncture proof tires never go flat.
  • Converts from the 2 wheel vertical position to the 4 wheel horizontal position without the use of any bolts or screws
  • Hand truck can also be put in the 45° position which can help distribute the weight with the retractable casters while transporting the load
  • Weight capacity is 800 lbs. vertical, 1000 lbs. horizontal and 500 lbs. in 45° angle
  • Built-in nose plate extension folds down to support extra-large loads
  • 10 in. puncture proof tires never go flat
  • Deck height in the 45° angle is 50 in.

How do you change positions on this hand truck

It’s actually very easy to transition the hand truck. The two major parts, the silver load bearing frame and the red wheeled chassis are latched in place by a locking lever that is located about mid-way between the wheels and handle. Simply pressing the lever unlocks the latch and allows the frame to be slid away and down from the handle to transition to the cart configuration. Very easy to switch out between the various modes while also be a very strong and sturdy piece of equipment. The only downside is that once your friends and neighbors find out you have this hand truck/cart, it will become very popular! Have a great day, has

No this item is very unsafe, the latch holding the frame together will randomly detach and flight the load forward unexpectedly. You are risking your life using this to lift anything.

Where is this product manufactured?

I dont know. And this is a very useful tool. Light weight but supports heavy loads Locks in 3 positions, with the half way position very useful. (It locks at about 45 degree angle, awesome for moving heavy book boxes, etc, passing through doorways and tight spaces, as the full weight of the load is borne by the wheels, nothing for you to lift or balance.) But the latch mechanism is critical, must have working latch to do this tilted position, too bad the locking part is made from low grade aluminum . Lock mechanism tends to break in cold weather.

Inadequate to lift 60 lbs
A small clip holds moving handles to lifting frame. Drops your load when it detaches. Your standing there with grips and the frame fell forward. And it detaches often. The frame will lift but at some point you need the grip handles to maneuver the load and set it down. 60 lbs and crash!! I'm returning mine!! Its a weak link and critical to operation. Can't lift 60 lbs unless you avoid grip handles and then once loaded try to jockey your arm out to get ahold of the grip handle. Works fine tilted when weight of frame bears on handle frame but the whole point is lift tilt in any dolly. Epic fail!!

Very sturdy and versatile, this hand truck is all you need to move heavy household goods, boxes and anything that can sit steadily on its base. When converted to a wagon it maximizes its capacity. The wheels allow maneuvering easily and with good stability. On the downside, it is quite heavy and does not have a built in brake functionality, which is ultimately needed either while loading or offloading. Some metal parts end at an edgy corner (no rubber bumpers) which makes it quite damaging if it accidentally bumps into surfaces.

Not safe when is set on a 45 angle.
I set this hand truck on a 45 angle to move a vending machine. Of course the machine was completely empty. When i was pushing it the pin that hold it on an angle, came off and the whole thing hit the ground. luckily i was not pushing to close so it did not smashed my feet.

The capacity and 45 degree hauling flexibility are what convinced me to purchase this hand truck. It is very easy to use and convert back and forth. The negative is the black hand grips which are a 1/16" in diameter larger than the steel handles they are supposed to fit on. If hauling something up a set of stairs the hand grips on my hand truck slip off every time. I tried adhesive, but the grips were just to large to make a satisfactory secure fit. I had to resort to drilling a 5/16" hole through each grip and steel handle and securing each with a #6-32x 1 1/2" machine screw and two nuts (one for locking the other in place) each. I then ground down the screw tip to the base of the locking nut and wrapped them with some quality electrical tape. I also used thread lock to secure the nuts on the screws as a just in case because I don't want to have the handles come off while hauling a file cabinet up the stairs. Perhaps the handle grips were supposed to be shrink set to the handles at the factory. There was so much play in the fit I decided to use a screw to secure each as I didn't trust adhesive alone. Hopefully this is a "one off" manufacturing error. If not I see a potential recall in their future. Be careful. The Hand truck was shipped to my HomeDepot from a warehouse and is not carried in my local store. I tried to add photos but I'm an old timer and not computer savy enough to get decent pics into this review.

I like this unit very much. I looked around quite a bit before settling on this one. It has a good name, good capacity, and is able to be used in different configurations in seconds---without pulling the handles out and sliding them into different holes. Good engineering. Another plus is the tires: pneumatic in performance, but not actually pneumatic---no flat tires. I use it to move bags of Stove Chow pellets from my garage to the front porch. It takes up less space than a cart when configure it back to a hand truck (in less than 2 seconds). The price was comparatively good as well, with free delivery to my local Home Depot store.
