Is this good for drilling patio pavers

Asked by Dan April 16, 2021

Answer

Yes, it works well on pavers.

Can you drill a hole in a ceramic pot with this bit?

Answers

It will certainly put a hole in it. It is more difficult to drill into anything rounded as it will slide, so look for as flat a surface as possible. I would advise against using on anything delicate or thin, it is intended for industrial applications and may damage anything other than a rough finish.

We’re going to do some bathroom remodeling with glass tile during the next year. My husband wanted this drill bit to add to his drill bit supplies in hopes that we will have everything we need for the job ahead. This drill bit is 2 inches long and made with carbide and a reinforced white tip for greater durability and clean drill holes. I like that the back of the package gives the drill speed for each type of material to be drilled.

KEEP DIPPING IN WATER TO COOL OFF
All bits will wear quickly if you don't cool them while working. Drill for a few seconds, dip, drill, dip.. I drilled 16 holes with two 1/8 bits. First bit lasted 2 holes, dipped the 2nd bit very often and it's still sharp after 14 holes! Use your head people.

I had to drill a number of holes through tile with this bit. The only thing is that I would use this with water to keep the bit cool when drilling.
