Q:Can you use this on porcelain tile

Answer This Question

A:  We recommend using our MILWAUKEE® Diamond MAX™ Hole Saw's for this application. - Milwaukee Tool, Social Team

by|Nov 22, 2023

A:  I have drilled DOZENS of holes in porcelain tile with these exact bits. Don't force it, let the head cut at different angles, and dip the bit in water every 5-10 seconds and it drills through porcelain just fine.

          shipping company should drug test
Whoever is routing items should be drug tested. I ordered a handful of items with lumber on Tuesday the 30th as i was doing a project in the weekend. I ordered 2 masonry drill bits. One bit was not in stack and it was going to be shipped which was ok as it said it would be delivered buy Thursday the 2nd. I figured even if it was a day late it would be ik. Today is the 5th and still not here. Tracking it i see it has been to a hub 10 miles from my house 2 different days only to be shipped back east once and to CA once. I am in Oregon. This is a joke

            One Bad Drill Bit!!!
I needed to install some Tapcon screws in a concrete/block slab for an electrical box and conduit in my well pump house. I got out my Craftsman bit set which I knew had some brand new masonry bits in it, After I drilled two holes, the brand new Craftsman bit was smoked! Would not do anything. So I got two of these bits. To my surprise, I finished drilling the 5 holes I needed with only minimal wear on the first Milwaukee bit. It drilled the holes VERY quickly with ease. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!

Dulled and split after drilling three holes
I used this bit to drill drainage holes in a ceramic pot. The first two holes were very smooth and quick. The third not so much. It was already extremely dull and by the time I got through after a couple attempts over a span of a few minutes the bit had completely split

                One and Done
Was drilling into ceramic less than 1/2” thick, got one hole before the bit was ground down and unable. Very unsatisfied.

Used for Doorbell Install- Worked Great!
I had never drilled through brick before so I was nervous to drill a hole right through the front of my house on my first attempt. My doorbell was previously on the inside of a padlocked storm door rendering it completely useless. We found a vintage doorbell on Etsy. I used a Dewalt drill/driver with hammer drill setting. It took a little while, maybe 5/10 minutes to get through two layers of brick and a stud. The hole was completely clean, very satisfied customer!
