Hello! This 3/8 in. x 4 in. x 6 in. SHOCKWAVE Carbide Hammer Drill Bit is intended for concrete, block, and brick drilling applications.

Can this be used with a regular drill?

These types of drill bits work best with a hammer drill, but I was able to use mine with a regular drill to drill through both a clay pot and a concrete slab. Just don't let them overheat if you are drilling through concrete, and remove them periodically as you drill, to get out the debris in the hole, and you should be fine.

Used this to install some 12mm anchors in a concrete slab. Next time I would probably use a 1/2-inch, instead of the 7/16-inch. This bit, in my Milwaukee M18 Fuel hammer drill made short work of installing the four anchors.

I needed to put some holes in the bottom of one of my wife's clay planters. These drill bits worked great. The first (5/32) drilled right through the pot while not cracking the clay. I then use the 1/8th size bit to increase the size of the hole. Now the water can come out of the bottom with ease. I also tried these two bits on a concrete slab I had poured for a base to a shed kit I got from Home Depot. I had previously ruined several older concrete bits, while drilling holes to secure the shed base. These bits went right through the concrete with no issues

(What's this)
These hammer drill bits do exactly what they are designed to do which is drill a clean hole in concrete, hard brick, or cinder block. I tested these bits with a hammer drill in both hammer and drill mode and an impact driver. For the most part, all drivers worked drilling the 3 materials except when hitting rock in the concrete. The hammer drill was the only driver that penetrated the rock without drifting and enlarging the hole. The hex drive was a nice feature allowing easy holding with a chuck as well as allowing them to be used with impact drivers. A nice bit that I will continue to use in the future.

(What's this)
The Milwaukee Shockwave carbide hammer drill bit is an great bit to have when you need one for sure. The bit I have is 3/16 and works great for drilling into concrete, bricks and blocks. I used it to drill into my brick wall behind the fireplace to put in some hangers for items I wanted displayed. The drill bit still is sharp and will work on other projects I need it for. Nice drill bit.
