Q:What is the difference between the swivel jaws and regular jaws?

          Answer This Question

A:  Hi 007Rancher Not positively sure, but think it means the swivel jaws moves forward and backwards.

          by|Sep 12, 2019

A:  The swivel jaws have a larger clamping surface area that distributes the pressure over about 1-inch square inch of space, They are particularly useful when clamping items with flat surfaces, such as two boards or sheets of metal. C-clamps with regular jaws have a much smaller, rounded compression point that can apply significant pressure to a relatively small area.

A:  The swivel jaws are much better suited for woodworking. Regular jaws better suited for metal working.

A:  The jaws on this tool swivel back and forth. The regular jaws do not swivel. They are straight and cannot move.

Jaw opening not accurate on packaging
Beware that the packaging overstates the jaw opening. The jaw opening is only 1-7/8" not 2-1/4 inches.
