Yes, you can. I have used more than that connected together. I recommend periodically checking the set screws to ensure they remain tightened as on a couple of rare occasions they became loose over time. Overall, this product worked well for me.
This is advertised as a 3/8" extension. This hex extension does fit a 3/8" chuck. The receiver end is too small to accommodate conventional 7/16" hex hole saw arbors nor self-feed bits.
