Answer This Question

A:  The blades teeth are cutting when they are pulled backward, and when they go little forward teeth cutting. This machine moves the blade upward and it moves most cutting when the blade goes down onto the wood and pulls backward.

A:  Yes you can turn it off if cutting steel like rebar but it will cut through wood faster than a standard saws all with it on.

            Failure with Low Hours
I bought this saw a few years back. Babied it, always put it back in its case. Thought I'd buy "best in class" for once. Unfortunately she started smoking and arching and now has no power. Could have been a lemon but I'm hesitant to try the brand again.

Milwaukee 15 amp corded Super Sawzall
That 15 amp corded Milwaukee was a BEAST! Anything less "probably" would have burned up. Hub was rusted to the Axle. I used a diablo blade designed to cut thru "thick metal" and cut the axle off! It was more solid than the "ball" on a trailer hitch.

The saw is very versatile and handy. It has the power to cut through wood, nails and brush. I have purchased a brush blade and it cuts through at least 6 inch branches. I have only had the saw for a few months but I would highly recommend this saw.

                  Super
I don't normally give reviews. I purchased the last one at Myrtle beach Home depot today. Hurricane Florence had blown over an Oak tree in the yard. I was unable to find Milwaukee blades for the task so I found Porter Cable pruning blades 4 for 11 bucks. I had borrowed a Stihl chainsaw for the work and it needed maintenance! went at it with the Super sawzall, went through faster than the chainsaw and didn't need fuel or oil. I was probably asking a lot out of this tool. but it never faltered. Orbital deep stroke, ( wish I had that). Variable speed. Very cheap case as most manufacturers supply now. No blade storage etc. I have to say it got pretty warm, but performed like an old school tool. I expect after that it should handle laminated beams easily. anything under that should be like butter.

alot of power! horrible blade quick change
This is a powerful saw. But the blade quick change is junk gets locked up and blade wont come out. Also dont not use milwakee blade in this. Whoever was person who designed this made the quick change chuck to small for their own blades. When they break they are to wide and get stuck in the saw. And you have to rip apart the quick change. All other brand blades work perfect no stuck blades. The employee reaponsible for this part of the design failed and should be fired

I like the power in this sawzall. It does not bog down at all. It will rattle your brain, those of you familiar with sawzalls know what I am talking about. I have own mine for a few months and I am not disappointed at all. It does what a sawzall should do, and it does it we'll.
