Answer

At its widest it's 1 3/16". The thickness is 1/2" about the same thickness as the handle. Including the "drive" it's 1" thick. Hope this helps.

Customer review from milwaukeetool.com logo
I have a large variety of ratchets and I use the Milwaukee one quite often and have always loved how the internals felt, out of all my high end ones this still seems to hold its place especially for the price. I’ve also seen torture tests where this ratchet hot 300lb ft of torque before before failure. So for those of you who say it’s a weak ratchet might have just had a faulty one but keep in mind it has a warranty and the price is a fraction of the well known brands. And lastly Milwaukee is a power tool company so that’s even more impressive that their 3/8” drive ratchet took the top spot for strongest 3/8” drive ratchets.

Magnificent!
This ratchet has been a game changer for me at work! Installing batteries can get you into some tight spaces and until now I've been scraping along with wrenches (my right hand can testify to the scraping part). Smooth easy to grip perfectly balanced I could go on for days! Bottom line it's an amazing tool and worth every penny to me!

When I recieved this ratchet, first I was suprized it was a Milwaukee hand tool and I was also suprized how nice it was. Putting it to use I was happy to see that it was very tightly built with very little slop. The ratchet action is very close meaning you don't need to move the ratchet much to get another bite. I have let my buddy at the shop use it and he was very pleased with it also. I won't be buying $100 ratchets anymore, I better get my name ingraved in it soon. I will be looking for other Milwaukee hand tools in the near future

Comfortable to hold with great leverage, this 3/8 inch low profile ratchet easily makes light work of fastener work in general and in tight spots in particular. The lever to change ratchet direction is also low profile and works smoothly and easily with no sticking or jamming at any time. The fine toothed gear has 90 teeth and needs only 4 degrees of movement to engage the next tooth. Sockets and extension bars attach easily and stay in place with little to no movement. The tool is backed by the famous Milwaukee lifetime warranty.

(What's this)
This ratchet is made by Milwaukee and is a 3/8 inch drive ratchet. It is a good quality tool that should last a long time. It has a 4 degree ARC swing and is smooth in its movement both forward and back in the ratchet. The handle is solid and fits the hand well and is very comfortable to use. The selector switch is easy to use to go between on and off. This tool comes with a limited life time warranty.

Looks, feels great to use but BROKE after 2 uses!
Customer review from milwaukeetool.com logo
At first, it worked like a dream, but broke after only two uses. When I attempt to loosen a bolt, the ratchet switches back to "on" and retightens it. Now I can only tighten bolts. Supposedly this product has a "lifetime guarantee" but when I attempted to send it to Milwaukee to get it repaired, the product couldn't even be found in the system. As a longtime, exclusive Milwaukee fan, I am extremely disappointed in both the product and the "guarantee."

Broken on first use
I had high hopes for this product based on the reviews. Upon the first use the mechanism inside broke and locked up. I tried to return it but Home Depots near me don't carry it. What a hassle. I purchased this as part of a set with sockets. The finish on the sockets is okay, not better than Harbor Freight in afraid to say. I really like the squared off ends though. Very clever.
