I am a Mechanical Engineer and a self proclaimed professional shade tree mechanic. I have a complete set that I built up since I was 12 years old of Craftsmen SAE sockets and ratchets. Out of the box these are superb high quality tools for the market Milwaukee targeting. The four sided sockets are ingenious. The ratchet is solid and firm, no sloppy feel like my Craftmens ones. These tools are on par with professional brands.like Snap On.

this is a beautiful set of tools, the rachets are smoth operation, the sockets are awesome with the square end, they look great in my tool box.

Love the carry case and the square end sockets. Very high quality. Also purchased the 1/4 and 1/2 inch sets as well in SAE and metric. It’s also great that the cases come with removable tool cabinet drawer tray that keeps all the pieces in place inside my tool chest. I have many different brands of hand tools that I keep at different work locations…..Craftsman, Kobalt, Gear Wrench, Husky, and Mac. When I purchase the Milwaukee Socket Set I didn't know what to expect. As I opened the blow molded Box , I saw a complete set of 3/8 SAE short and deep and short and deep metric sockets. along with a 90 tooth ratchet and 2 extensions and a swivel .It has a removable tray for a tool box if desired. As I took the sockets out to look at them and see the brilliant Chrome finish and square ends that will stop them from rolling and let you put a wrench on them if extra torque is needed I was very impressed. The quality and the price point is way better than any mobile tool truck could possibly offer for way less than 1/10 of Price as well. Milwaukee Proved again that they Only sell the Best Tools. I must admit I bought the 1/4 & 1/2 inch set as well I was so impressed. And bought a set for my Son and Son in law. Thanks MILWAUKEE !! Keep the Great Products coming !

The Milwaukee 1/4 in. Drive SAE/Metric Ratchet and Socket Mechanics Tool Set (25-Piece) belongs in every pro or DIY tool kit. It includes both SAE and metrics sizes. The ratchet as ninety teeth making capable of being used even in tight spaces where swinging the handle is restricted. The case is small enough you can probably grab it and drop into our job bag. The has tabs that allow you to hang on your tool pegboard. The tray holding the sockets, ratchet and extent is not fastened to the case and can be easily removed. Personally, I hope in the future Milwaukee makes the tray a snap in. The tray doesn't do snap in placement for the any of the items. This is easy to spill. A couple of magnet strips under the sockets would be a great idea.

I'm reviewing this Milwaukee 1/4 inch drive SAE/ metric ratchet and socket mechanics tool set 25 piece. Milwaukee makes great quality corded and battery powered tools but there hand tools are great quality is well. Other than the odd spark plug socket I haven't seen many sockets you can put a open end wrench on the back. This is a good idea for when you only have so much room. The size range is 5/32"to 9/16" in SAE and 5 mm to 15 mm in metric. Wrenches that fit the back of the sockets are from 3/8" to 5/8" 5 in total. In many cases you can get away with making do with tools but once in a while you need just the right tool to get the job done. I can see where this could be just what is needed at time's.
