The Milwaukee Hole Dozer Hole Saw features Rip guard, the strongest tooth form in the industry, backed by the Rip guard limited lifetime tooth break warranty. Each tooth is built with more steel behind the cutting edge for added strength. The Rip Guard warranty on tooth breaks is a first for the hole saw industry. The added tooth strength along with 8% cobalt give added life to the teeth, allowing for increased productivity on the jobsite, as well as continued hole quality. The Hole Dozer includes Plug Jack, an all access slot design that allows for full access during plug removal. The Plug Jack gives access lower into the cup for thick material and higher towards the teeth for thin material. With multiple positions to apply leverage and better plug access, Plug Jack increases productivity and eliminates wasted downtime between holes. For fast, tool-free change-outs, use Milwaukee's universal Quick-Change Arbors. 49-56-7210, 49-56-7240, 49-56-7250 and 49-56-9100.

The arbor is treaded and screws on to the hole saw. I just placed a small wrench onto the arbor shaft and unscrewed the arbor from the hole saw.

Bought this to add spots to a wood ceiling. Was a little rough being up on a ladder trying to make this work - finally figured out to reduce the resistance on the drill so when the cutters bite, it doesn't wip so much. - otherwise perfect holes and even better on drywall!

Broke on first use
On a basic piece of maple this bit busted in two and almost busted my hand in the process. Really disappointed after all the good reviews. Maybe a bad piece or user error.

Teeth wore down WAY too quickly
I bought this 4.25" hole saw to install a dryer vent through an outside wall. I first drilled a pilot hole with a very long bit. Then used this hole saw to cut through the drywall on the inside. No problem with that. Then I went around to the outside. There's wood siding and then some 1/2" OSB sheathing. This hole saw struggled on the wood siding but finally got through after about 10 minutes. But by that time, the teeth were so badly worn, that it couldn't cut through the OSB sheathing. You can see this in the photo I included. I had to finish the job with a reciprocating saw. I checked to see if maybe I had hit a nail but there was nothing there in the middle of a stud bay. Just wood siding and OSB sheathing. Very disappointed in the performance of this hole saw, especially at this premium price of nearly $40. I paid extra for the Milwaukee brand, thinking this tool would get this first job done easily, and then be useful on lots of other jobs as well. But it couldn't even complete this one simple task. I also had trouble keeping the saw on the arbor. It's a very basic screw-on arbor with no pins or locking mechanism. I've come to expect better quality than this from Milwaukee.

I purchased this on recommendation from a store employee to bore holes in my soffit vents. The Hardi board was almost too much for it. It started cutting immediately then wouldn’t advance. A simple project took forever to complete. Nevertheless I got my lights in.

awesome hole saw!
it cut through a 55 gallon drum steel that is, like a hot knife through butter. the slugs never went up into the hole saw they just fell into the barrel I never had to do a clean out with a screwdriver I'll be at the steel drums not thick but it definitely made light work I drilled seven holes took me four minutes highly recommend this saw.
