      A:  I use this for cleaning the mill scale and rust off metal before welding. (Small jobs) You should never try to poke anything at a 90 degree angle into the twisted wire. The tips of the wire wheel do the job. You have somewhere around 20 to 30 degrees you can tilt material to obtain the desired rust/scale removal. Think of the twisted wire as a tree. You can place the material in the leaf area all you want. Never every put the material against the trunk of the trees! :)

          A:  Just a right angle, only the tip is used for wire brushing attempting anything different would be dangerous and not work well or at all.
