The pliers are made FORGED STRENGTH .
Unfortunately, there is no indication on the packaging or on the Milwaukee website as to what these cutters will cut. I only intend to use them to cut copper and soft metal, so I expect these to meet my needs. If you need to cut harder wire, you may want to look at mini-bolt cutters or other brand cutters designed to cut piano wire and other harder metals.
