Not sure of the sink thickness. Should be standard thickness, whatever that is .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used it to cut through 1/2" inch steel which... I used it to cut through 1/2" inch steel which is way more than what it was designed for and it worked great. A couple of the teeth broke off and still cut through the steel with no problem. If you use it for what it is intended, which is aluminum boxes for electrical, then it should last.
