I didn't want to like them, but can't really find any fault with them except for the fact that they're made in China. I haven't cut any large aluminum wire yet, but copper 10/3 awg and smaller aluminum cut well with these pliers. They do a decent job of reaming/deburring conduit and have stood up well to using them as a hammer to bash knock-outs out of metal boxes. The crimper works well, though I hardy used it. Both the end section and the section behind the crimper grip and pull a fish tape well. The black paint scratches easily. Personally, if you don't need the crimper I'd get the Channel Lock or Kleins for around the same money just because they're made in USA. Just my personal bias there. Comparing this pair to another decent Chinese made pair with similar features, Tekton, the Milwaukee is better, but also cost a fair bit more. Any of the four above will serve you well. My wife tried all four and actually preferred the Milwaukee while I'm pretty much indifferent.

Milwaukee 48-22-6500 9” High Leverage Lineman’s Pliers with Crimper – These linemen’s pliers have been well designed as well as well manufactured…They have (2) functions not normally included on linemen’s pliers…(1) function is the addition of an insulated and non-insulated crimping nib and groove located directly behind the pivot hinge, allowing the crimping of insulated and non-insulated terminals, (2) function there are serrated jaws located directly behind the cutting jaw intended to grip metal fish tapes, making pulling metal fish tapes much easier…These pliers make it far easier to install non-insulated copper crimp sleeves on ground conductors since there isn’t a need to have an additional crimping tool…I tested these pliers installing non-insulated copper crimp sleeves on 14, 12 and 10 gauge bare copper ground conductors…These pliers performed as indicated, intended and expected without any problems...

This maximum leverage pliers has dip coated handles to increase comfort and overall grip. Crimper can be used on insulated and non-insulated terminals. Wire cutter easily cuts number two (#2) and number four (#4) ACSR. Comes with a lifetime warranty. These are heavy duty piers and heavy weight. Not made for those little jobs around the house. All total they measure nine (9) inches long.

High-Leverage Lineman's Pliers with Thread Cleaner – In the early 1970s I bought a pair of Klein lineman pliers that were great until a couple of years ago when they disappeared. I replaced them with another, cheaper brand that were ok at best. I have since donated those pliers and now carry this Milwaukee brand and couldn’t be more satisfied. They are comfortable to use for cutting cable and wire, nails, wire rod, etc. Because I often work outside in wet weather I appreciate the rust protection; I had to wire brush and spray the cheap pliers occasionally to clean the rust off and keep them working smoothly. One feature Milwaukee added, that my old Klein pliers did not have, is the handy crimper for putting terminals or crimp-on connectors on wires and conductors of a power cord.

As a maintenance mechanic I've always called these side cutters but I know that they are also known as "linesman pliers", too. These by Milwaukee are excellent quality. They are a high quality steel with good grips/handles and-like the rest of my Milwaukee tools-I expect them to last a long time. I use these side cutters primarily in residential electrical work like in installing or replacing switches, receptacles and light fixtures. I also use them in making lamps. Because of this I am working with smaller gauge wires like #18, #16, #14 and #12. I like the grips on the handles and the size of the cutters-big enough to give you leverage but not so big so as to be unwieldy for me. The crimper is handy if you use electrical terminals. I hope you find this helpful.

I got these pliers to replace my old pair of linesman pliers made by Kl**n. These pliers are better. The handle contour fits well in the hand allowing maximum leverage when cutting thick wire. The cutter blade is large enough to accomodate 10-3 gauge wire with ease. The crimper makes a very secure joint when crimping on spade connectors, stranded or solid wire, the connectors won't easily pull off. The nose of the pliers is designed to ream out metallic conduit after cutting to remove burrs and as an added bonus there is a gripping area just behind the crimper that securely grabs metal fish tape to allow for a stronger pull without damaging the fish tape. The rubber handle allows for a firm grip, even with dirty/sweaty hands.

High-Leverage Lineman's Pliers is exactly what the name implies. This pliers effortlessly cuts #2 copper wire used in residential electrical services. The cutters have a carbide cutting edge. A complete tool with many handy and useful features for the tradesman electrician and licensed electrician. It can ream the inside diameter of pipe up to 1 ½ inches. The best feature in my opinion is the fish tape (metal snake) puller. This is a great pliers and will last and is manufactured by a trusted name in tools. I have been in the trade my lifetime and this is first time knowing and using the fish tape puller incorporated in this plies. A feature which enhances this useful tool.

Nice feel on the handle grips and has some nice weight to them, not too heavy or light. I cut some old wire coat hanger up and some 8 gauge wire and went through it like nothing. Great addition to my tool box. Milwaukee hand tools are right up there with their hand power tools. They were a little stiff to operate with one hand at first but after a few (real quick) opening and closing of the handles, it was free enough to work with one hand. I highly recommend these pliers as they also feature a crimper for ring and fork electrical connectors. Very nice pliers indeed. Made in USA.
