My guess would be they would work as long as the soft copper tubing has the same OD as rigid copper pipe since the cutter works based on those standard diameters and the tool locking on the pipe so the spring can force the cutting wheel to stay in contact with the copper as you turn it. The adjustable type would be a sure thing since you can vary the cutting wheel to achieve more diameters by adjusting the wheel with the knob. Plus you would only need one tool for most applications and the close quarters is typically not needed in those situations. Otherwise I am very happy with my set and use them quite regularly, but I am using them with standard plumbing copper pipe.
China if I’m not mistaken. I do my best to buy American made but the quality and durability of these cutters have far outlasted the competition.
There is a black arrow on the cutters, push the cutters on the copper until the cutting wheel clicks in place then spin the cutters in the direction of the arrow.
