Don't waist your money
I purchased a version of this knife that looked very similar several years ago so when it finally broke I went to buy another. This knife I'm assuming replaced the other because it's the only one with a curved blade like my last one. Unfortunately after just a few days the tip broke off and the blade no longer locks. Now it opens up and keeps going backwards at a unusable angle and from other reviews I've seen this is a common issue. Milwaukee clearly is using a new cheap supplier concerned more with profit then actually selling a decent product. Shame on you!

Very Good Value
I was actually impressed by how long the sharpness can go, it complies with all the excpectations, I like the weight, the case is high density plastic, the blade itself its high quality Stainless, fold/unfold mechanism is very intuitive and safe, it is amazing to remove jacketing in combination with the hook, yo can change the clip so when you take it out it will get in you hand in the proper position, it has a hole so you can hang it in your belt or in the wall etc, the weight of it its really nice I would recommend this but also buy another one for more dense cutting, the cove in the blade makes it suitable for small and detailed tasks.

Great Knife! Easy One Handed Opening & Closing

This knofe needs improvement on the plastic backin
The Blade itself is good and no complaints There. However when trying to cut through insulation on triplex i heard a pop and that was it. Needs metal backing on back of lock to hold in place to make more durable. As a lineman, I cut insulation constantly and need something more durable. The handle is nice and I like the improved pocket clip. Now just improve the plastic piece on the other side of the lock and you'll get my money again.

Great EDC knife!
I really like the Milwaukee FASTBACK knife - 48-22-1990.
The button release flip open works well for me. I understand you can loosen the screw on the blade pivot if it is too tight, but I never had to. I find the knife easy to open and close one-handed. I love the clip. I carry the knife with me often. I also love the color. I've never dropped it but if I ever do it is comforting to know that it will be highly visible. The knife fits my hand well and I feel in control when using it.
I filed the back of the knife in one spot so that it is flat and throws sparks great using a ferrocerium rod. : )
I find it a bit hard to sharpen. Nevertheless it is my "go to" knife for most situations.
The price at Home Depot is hard to beat also!

Good weight and size to it can be easily stored in pocket without any discomfort. The Fastback feature is amazing, can quickly be opened with a swift flick of the wrist and the blade won’t get stuck for easy one-hand closing. Overall great high quality knife, Milwaukee has a lifetime customer with me.

This is a great knife to have clipped to the side of your pocket all the time.
As you can see from the attached photos it is a quality built knife with a metal clip to hold it securely in place and anti-stick material on the blade (Teflon?)
Simply push the button on the side and flip the blade open. The quality blade retains its edge for a long time. I routinely use mine to cut open boxes, rope, string, and I haven’t even thought about sharpening it yet. Also, The blade locks open to ensure safety.
It has a hole for tying a tether but I find the belt clip is more than enough for me.
I carry it with me all the time and it is a fantastic deal for $15.
