The Milwaukee Fixed Blade Utility Knife is a great boxcutter for the everyday consumer. The back of the housing has a large hole which makes hanging it on a lanyard or on a wall very simple. The handle easily opens to take out and store extra razor blades, which is your standard razor blade, nothing special as razor blades go. I would personally have liked to see a sheath or some sort of covering for the blade when I’m storing it, but It’s simple enough that I just put the blade back into it.

Much better than the other utility knives I have. The handle contour makes this knife easier to hold and control. The contour has a curve that comfortably fits the index finger and the knife has a curved shape that positions the blade at a more comfortable angle than my other utility knives. No tool is needed to open the handle to get to the spare blades stored in the handle. It is easy to rotate the lock without using a screwdriver or the head of a nail, making accessing the spare blades much easier than usual. The spare blades do not rattle around in the handle, helping to preserve their edges, because a leaf spring presses into the pocket that holds the blades. This knife is my clear favorite.

I am not normally a fan of fixed blade utility knives but I have a need for one because my retractable blade keeps retracting while I'm using it on this project. It has a finger twist lock to open and close the case so you don't have to find a screwdriver to change or switch sides of the blade. This is really handy because you can quickly remove the blade and stick it inside the knife between uses to protect the blade and yourself from grabbing the uncovered blade. There is a spring mechanism inside the knife to hold the spare blades in place so they don't rattle around and get abused.

This is a lightweight easy fixed utility knife. I didn't realize it was fixed but I will still use it. There is one very sharp blade inside and it's very easy to get out with the thumb screw fastener. I've used it for cutting up large cardboard boxes and works great. But I always put it out of the way until I'm finished unlike other utility knifes that you can close immediatly. It is too sharp and dangerous to hold in your hand while doing something else. If you don't mind the fixed blade then you will like it.

Very nice and well constructed utility knife. This fixed blade knife from Milwaukee is built out of metal with a nice red powder coat paint. There is on board storage for your blade when it is not in use.
Key thing to understand with this utility knife is that the fixed blade means the blade does not retract away. If you do not want the blade out then you will need to unscrew the handle and place the blade in the storage area. The knife takes the fastback blades and has a nice handle on it. Super nice utility knife and quality made.
I would recommend this utility knife if you are looking for a fix blade knife.

It is just under 2.5 ounces so is lightweight enough to not tire out your hand but still feels solid. It is 6” without blade, with blade closer to 6.5.”
This utility knife comes with 1 blade already stored inside the handle. You can store more 5 blades inside the handle. On the opposite side of the storage (inside), there is a bent piece of metal that will hold the blade(s) firmly so they’re not rattling around inside the handle which is something I wouldn’t have thought of. In order to access the blade storage, you turn the black screw on the side of the knife with your fingers; no tools are necessary. When you fix the blade into its slot, it’s held firmly by the cut-outs in the blade matching the notches in the handle so there’s no wiggling around. The screw is on the left hand side if you’re holding the knife in your right hand. I think it’s made more for a righty than a lefty but when I hold it in my left hand, the screw sits at about the bottom of my index finger in the space between my finger and my thumb so I don’t think it’d be a problem for anyone who’s left-handed. At the bottom of the handle there’s a rectangular hole so you can hang it on your belt loop or on the wall. It’s metal coated so that it’s smooth and actually feels kind of like plastic but not cheaply so. Someone really put some thought into its design. It is made in China. The palm of my hand is 3.5” wide and the angle fits easily and comfortably in my hand and the rubber on the underside gives you a good grip. It comes with a “Limited Lifetime Warranty” but there is no information included about the warranty. I can’t imagine what you could do to this in the normal course of events that would break this in any way. My only complaint about this product is the same gripe we all have with plastic packaging: you feel like you need a pair of hedge clippers to get into the package.

Another very nice product from Milwaukee. Is very light weight and pretty small for my large hands so will just keep in the shop for light work as the one in my electrician pouch is also fixed blade but much larger to fit my hands and with gloves on works better. But this Milwaukee utility knife is very nice and works like it should and does the job think I would like better if was a little larger and heavier. But all in all is still a great product and not that costly

I keep utility knives around everywhere for opening boxes/packages, stripping wire, cutting rope and more. In the past these have been hard to open and close when replacing the blade. Not this one. It is easy to open, easy to line up and close. The handle is metal with a good grip, and stores five blades. This Utility knife is simple to use, change blades and use for many jobs. Very handy
