Q:On my grinder, the spindle flange mounts in one direction, with the 7/8 arbor protruding approx 1/16 above the clamping surface. Is the bottom of this fixtec flange designed to clamp both thin cutting wheels (e.g. 1/16 in) and grinding wheels (0.25 in)?

A:  Yes I used it on my Ryobi grinder and worked fine. Not as easy to remove and install as them made it sound but is better than the prong tool.

Q:what is the OD in inches??
      by|Sep 1, 2020
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  Roughly 1-3/4 inch. It might be a 1/4 inch bigger than the original nut that comes with your grinder. If using a cutoff blade you do loose about 1/4 inch of the possible depth of cut or how much material you can cut. So keep your original flange nut just in case. However this may not be the question you should be asking. The Milwaukee is noticeably thinner than the Bosch version. Almost a 1/4 inch thinner! This is important when trying to get the flat of your blade close to your workpiece.

Product seems well built and works very good so far. I can retire the spanner wrench now. It's a real time saver. Just in case it does overtighten, there are 2 holes located under the flip up handle, for a spanner. I also bought the Bosch SDS clic version sold by Superior Electric which I actually prefer using as far as ease of use but it is too thick (3/16" higher) and may hit the material you are grinding so I will most likely be using the Milwaukee version most of the time.

This is an excellent addition to my cordless grinder. One twist and the nut is off. No more looking for a wrench that is always somewhere else!
