Great quality, inside and out
This 15-piece set from Milwaukee (#49-22-3097, made in USA from global materials) adds to the large variety of Milwaukee hole saws available, this time with large carbide teeth. Sizes range from 3/4” to 3”, all with 3 TPI carbide teeth. This kit includes two different arbors, a small one with 3/8” hex shaft for the four smaller saws and a larger one with reinforcement pins that fit into the base of the larger saws (but the shaft is 1/2” hex.). The saws and arbors are compatible other Milwaukee arbors and saws, as well as some other brands I tried. Neither arbor can be used with standard 1/4” hex drill/drivers but work fine in drills with an adjustable chuck. The larger arbor has a three-step attachment process: pull down the ring that holds the reinforcement pins and thread in the arbor into the saw; adjust the ring to let the pins seat in the saw; then screw the lock ring up to hold the pin ring in place. It takes a bit of getting used to but it's straightforward and provides a really secure hold. No tools are needed and even after cutting holes I could easily remove the saw from the arbor by hand. The hard case allows storage of all the includes saws plus others if you rearrange the plastic posts and cut relief holes in the foam insert on top. I wish there were extra plastic posts included or available. As with most newer hole saws, chip and plug removal is made much easier thanks to holes and access slots along the sides. The saws cut up to 1-5/8” deep so those plugs can be difficult to access and remove otherwise. I had no trouble cutting clean holes in plywood, ¾” pine or 2x pressure treated lumber, though the large saws grab quickly and can be awkward in a hand-held drill. Still, it was a pleasure to use. I could actually remove the plugs by hand, not needing to pry them out with a screwdriver like I usually do. The set is expensive so it might be economical to start with a smaller set and add saws as needed, but that's an individual choice – and smaller cases may not accommodate any additions. Either way you get the same excellent Milwaukee quality.

Great hole saws
My review for the Milwaukee dozer carbide tipped hole saw set 15 piece set. I have to to say that I have been using these Milwaukee hole saws for years and they always did the job for me. These cut various materials. I have even managed to cut 1- 1/2 inch holes the 1 inch thick mild steel with these. The new and improved design has more relief holes to help with the removal of material and will also help with dissapation of heat. The kit comes with a nice carrying case . It has added room to grow as you may need other hole saws like I do. Another great Milwaukee product.

Very sharp saw bits. Case is compact and keeps the tools safe from loss.
The 15 piece carbide hole dozer kit is a very nice hole saw kit. The box it comes in has a nice handle made of a nylon webbing strap, not a fold out plastic handle like most. This handle seems like a far more durable option that won't let go as easily as others. In the box there is a nice compartment that holds the twist drills and arbors in place to keep it organized. I cut out and tapped the portion of the cardboard box that said what sizes were included on the lid to this compartment. I had to run some PVC tubing through some plywood and the hole dozer was the perfect tool for the job. I have some steel tubing to cut soon and am excited to see the carbide teeth in action, they should last a lot longer than my old high speed steel set which dulled quickly cutting tubing like that. Overall it is a very solid kit!

great starter set of hole saws
The Milwaukee hole Dozer Electricians 10-piece carbide hole set makes a good starter set. This set includes a 7/8, 1 1/8, 1 3/8, 1 3/4, 2, 2 1/2 hole saws plus 2 arbors. One for the smaller size hole saws, and one for the larger hole saw sizes. The saw will cut a multitude of different materials from plastic, to wood and metals. The saws come in a sturdy carrying case for easy hole saw access, and marked with easy to read sizes. The carbide teeth are very sharp, have great cutting power.

Excellent qulity, great set with two abors and spare pilot bits
This set of 6 different size hole saws with carbide tips is of excellent quality, hole cutting is aggressive and quick and the arbors are of very high quality. Sizes are selected to run electrical conduit. This set comes in a handy box with two arbors (small hole and large hole) and a set of spare high quality pilot drills. It is a pleasure working with tools like this! I do wish they would not call it a 10-piece set, because there are only 6 different saws (10 pieces because they include 2 arbors plus two bits)

Space Saving, Fast, Long Life
This set comes in a neat, space saving case the fits neatly into Packout. It has two quick change arbors and cobalt pilot bits, six different popular sizes all neatly arranged in its case. The hole saws have multiple that make it easy to clear material while cutting and afterwards to remove the waste. These holes will also aid in cooling, which should make them last longer. And speaking of lasting longer, they have some aggressive carbide teeth. These things eat through material quickly. These are not just great for wood, but work great on cement board, ceiling tile, drywall, cast iron, metal and even stainless steel. This set is made to last a long time and it will. Let the tool do the work. This is the perfect set and it's made to last.

Nice kit
I have a bunch of old cheap hole saws. This new carbide teeth kit will help me get rid of the old ones that didn't work well. There is a speed chart in the kit that shows recommended RPM for each size hole and material. I'm not sure I have a way to determine what speed I'm getting, but it may help at guessing. Each size has SAE & metric size listed. The 3 largest bits (1-3/4", 2", & 2-1/2") have 4 pin holes that accept the 2 pins on the larger drive shaft ensuring the saw doesn't slip. The 3 smaller (7/8", 1-1/8", & 1-3/8") saws just screw onto the other drive shaft. The kit also includes 2 spare center drill bits and the required hex key. There are holes on the sides of each saw to help remove sawdust and allow you to pry out the wood. It's always best to drill your hole from both sides of the material to minimize tear out and keep the piece from getting stuck inside the saw. I believe these don't need to be limited to electrical work.

Excellent Hole Saws!
I have worn out a number of hole saws over the years. The chance to try this set came along and with a project in the planning stages this was a good time to try these Milwaukee hole saws. They come in a Milwaukee red box that has a compartment across the back to hold the arbors and extra pilot bits. The flap lid on that compartment is relatively easy to knock loose, but also easy to replace. It is nice to have a storage slot for those parts though. The hole saws themselves look good. The can be nested in the box for when you add a few more sizes bought individually. The threaded part that screws into the hole saw is the same thread size as other brands; I love having standards like that. The set includes a paper with recommended maximum speeds for different size holes and a list of maximum speeds for different metals. I did not drill any metals. I drilled into a piece of 2X treated pine as a test using the largest hole saw in the set; 2-1/2”. The hole was placed to drill partly through a knot. It was very easy. This set should provide me with much use.

This is a very complete, very high quality hole saw set. It comes with 2 arbors, one each for large and small hole saws. The saws are easy to install on the arbors and feel very secure. With the small saws, I found that I needed to use a wrench to remove the saw after making several cuts. I used these with an older (non-brushless) 18V makita compact drill and it had no problem spinning the largest (2 1/2") saw through 2x material at high speed. The coating seems very durable, showing only minor wear after making 6 cuts in 2x material and 2 through a steel-clad exterior door. The blade stayed as sharp as new through this and cutting didn't slow at all. The set comes with 2 replacement pilot bits, which will probably come in handy if you use in material other than wood. As a homeowner, I will probably never need another hole saw set. I have previously gone through a few 2 1/8" saws drilling door knobs, and their quality didn't even approach this.

Being a do it yourself'er you just never know when your going to need to cut a hole in wood, wallboard or some other material. So go these to while doing a project. As you can see my the picture plenty of sizes. The largest bit fit on my small hand held drill with no problem. Each hole saw comes with a drill bit and set into your drill head. Learned through a couple of practice holes the best way is slow and easy. Great set for the DIY'er.
