About This Product

The Milwaukee M12 23-Gauge Pin Nailer Kit features the most compact cordless pin nailer, combining precision and power to deliver the performance that professional carpenters and remodelers demand, without the hassle of a compressor hose or gas cartridge. The 23-Gauge pin nailer provides users with unmatched productivity and accessibility in tight spaces and confined corners with a lightweight, ergonomic design. The nitrogen air spring mechanism allows the nailer to consistently sink pin nails at proper depth into hard or softwoods while leaving small, clean nail holes. The double-action trigger and non-marring precision point tip allow users to perform sequential driving and accurate pin placement into delicate trim pieces. The dry-fire lockout feature prevents misfires and workpiece damage. The M12 Pin Nailer drives 23-Gauge headless pin nails ranging in length from 1/2 in. to 1-3/8 in. and features all-day run time with up to 750 pin nails per charge when paired with an M12 REDLITHIUM CP1.5 battery pack. This battery-powered pin nailer also features a magazine reload indicator, tool-free drive depth adjustment, reversible belt clip, LED light, battery fuel gauge, secondary work contact tip, and carries an industry-leading 5-year limited power tool warranty. Our M12 Oscillating Multi-Tool has the versatility, power, and control to complete problematic job site applications. Q:Hello, If I purchase the Milwaukee Multi Tool 2426-20 on line the photo states that I will be One Free Battery. When I go to order this product on line it requires me to purchase a battery (M12) . This is totally misleading? What is the real program?
        by|Jan 27, 2023
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  The one I selected was tool only. Sometimes they run specials when you purchase tool you get free battery but you have to select battery at time of order and in cart battery comes out as either zero dollars or they divide the cost of the tool between the two products to make up the total that you would had spent buying tool alone. Hope this make sense! Maybe if you go to store with receipt or call customer service they might ship one to you.

This tool is awesome! I have never done trim before, and this thing made me look like a pro. Except for some of the cuts, but that’s on me, not the tool. Ran over 250 pins, and the battery was still at 3/4 charge, so battery life isn’t an issue. The only pin that didn’t drive was one I hit a screw head with, again, not the tools’ fault, other than that, it was absolutely perfect!

          Poorly made
This is a loud poorly made version of the tool made famous by fein. The oscillation mechanism is loud and internally sloppy, which results in inconsistent motion at the blade or sanding head. The m12 battery is poorly moulded, this means that the battery is not well retained, I had a 3.0 fall out cracking the battery housing. The tool was part of a kit, so expectations were low, either way, not up to the standard of other m12 Milwaukee tools I own. ☹️

Not worth the money compared to competitors
I bought this tool as I am trying to transition from a heavy dewalt ecosystem into Milwaukee. This tool is worse than every other multi tool I own from multiple brands. The speed control is very poor and any tool that requires a tool to use it in these days it's not worth it in my opinion. Requires a loose Allen wrench that Can't be stored on the tool instead of a tool free blade change.

Perfect for woodworking and trim work
For a lot of the work I do on a regular basis, I need to use a pin nailer to help keep pieces in a glue up together where a clamp will not work well or easily, or need to reattach trim I have removed to do some sort of fix. In the past I had to fire up my compressor, get out the long air hose, and then figure out if I had to move the compressor so I could reach where my work was, all for about 5 or 6 minutes of work. This Milwaukee cordless pin nailer has made these kind of projects so easy that doing them is a snap. The nailer is compact and very light weight and can get into spots I would normally have had trouble accessing (as compared to my other pneumatic nailers), and it is very quiet. Some of my first uses required I be up on a ladder to reattach some ceiling trim and it was extremely easy to use in a relatively precarious position (and I did not have to be concerned with an air hose). It feels good in the hand and allows precise location of where you want the pin to go. It drives the 23 gauge pins it uses cleanly; to date I have had no split wood, misfires, or bent pins. It gets a lot of work done on a single battery charge. The two stage trigger took a bit of getting used to (first time I have used one like this) but I found I liked it a lot the more I used it. The kit contains a soft case, tool, charger, and M12 battery and while it may be a bit pricey, you are getting Milwaukee quality in addition to the convenience this tool provides. Highly recommended; wish I had this a year ago!

Wanted one for a long time
I've wanted a pin nailer for a long time for adding trim to a piece of furniture. The 23-gauge pins are a lot easier to conceal as compared to my pneumatic 18-gauge brad gun. This also has the advantage of being battery powered, so I don't need to drag out the air hose and compressor. These drive the pins well, and there is a depth of drive controller wheel. However, I wasn't able to see much difference. The kit is very nice and includes the 12V battery, charger, and nailer in a nice carry case. I might recommend a "tool-only" version for people like me that already have Milwaukee 12V batteries and chargers. This uses 1/2" to 1-3/8" 23-gauge pin nails. I bought 3 different sizes of pin nails for less than $30. I think it will take a long time to use up 6000 pin nails. Nice features: window showing you have nails left (no dry firing), an LED light that shines on the nailing location, light weight, and a dual-action trigger system to prevent accidental firing. I highly recommend this product for anyone thinking about getting a pin nailer.

              Great tools
I am extremely happy with all of my Milwaukee tools They are top quality tools. I have the 15 gauge finish nail gun and the 18 gauge brad nail gun and now the 23 gauge pin nail gun. The pin nail gun comes with a nice case with velcro straps to hold it securely in place. The kit also comes with the gun, 12v battery and a charger, easy to read directions. The only problem I have found with any of the cordless nail guns is the weight. The pneumatic guns are light weight but you have to drag around a compressor and hose with you. They are not that heavy so it's really not a problem. Highly recommend it.

              Milwaukee does it right!
Just the presentation of this tool and its components are impressive. The nailer, charger, and battery are all included in a very nice storage case that will also hold a variety of nail sizes in a mesh pocket on the underside of the lid. I’m not sure if the battery needed a full charge, but it did charge within an hour. (I lost track of time.) I got this to use specifically for building some picture frames that require small fasteners and am really looking forward to this project and many more to come. I haven’t had the chance to use this yet, but I expect it to be top notch just like everything else made by Milwaukee.

              Solid tool
Very solid and well packaged tool. I was very impress. I’m not the type of person who reads instructions so after charging the battery I just loaded it up and started using it to see how well this thing works. It was simple to load as you just lay in the nails (i.e., see photo) after you pull down on nail holder/magazine. I didn’t bother with adjusting nail depth but you can see it nailed flush with the thick piece of wood in the photo. No misfires and I like Milwaukee’s use of a trigger safety that is very easy to push down with your finger to activate the tool – very safe. This also turns on the LED light and battery level indicator too. Great features, light weight and solid feel. You can’t go wrong.

Easy to use and consistent results
This tool is well thought out and super easy to use. Being battery operated there is obviously no compressor or hoses to run. It is also fairly compact allowing it to fit into corners. Depth of pin can be set without tools, and the double trigger first turns on the LED light and virtually eliminates accidental double strikes. Supplied are 2 non mar point tips and a wrench to free pin jams, which so far I have not needed. The advertised up to 750 pins per battery charge seems accurate. There is a battery charge indicator, a dry fire lockout, and magazine reload indicator, Nail holes are very small, clean, and make for professional appearing work. 23-Guage pin nails, in different lengths, are inexpensive and readily available at Home Depot. This tool made very short work of my baseboard trim installation.
