DO NOT USE ON ACSR
left a question on here asking if this would cut 397 acsr. "MilwaukeeElectric" with the milwaukee logo responded to it saying if it is less than a certain diameter, it will work. I ordered the tool and got it out of the box. The cutting blades broke on the very first cut on a piece of 397 acsr. If it would just cut acsr, I would be in love with this thing. If they made a set of blades for this that will actually cut acsr, this thing would be my new favorite tool.

This cutter shattered my expectations. Easily cuts through 500 mcm copper and I have no doubt it will cut 600s as it says it would. Saves a ton of time cutting large wires and prepping for terminations and also saves your hands from making countless pulls on the ratchet cutters. It’s low profile and fits in tight areas with ease. It also cuts well over 100 cuts per charge on a 3ah battery.
For its price point it is hands down worth every penny. Your hands will thank you, your speed will improve, and the overall quality of installation will improve, and the overall quality of installation will be better because you will be more inclined to make that one more precision cut opposed to saying forget it because your hands are sore!
250s and under I cut on hi speed in less than 3 seconds. 350s-500s on low gear took about 6 seconds. This is an excellent tool. If you work with large wire for a living, this is a must have.

No attachment point
Good overall tool but disappointing that there is no spot to attach a lanyard without it pinching on the battery release tabs on the handle. This doesn’t allow you the option to hang it on a hook while working aloft in an aerial device unlike other cutters sold for use in power-line industry. It’s the little things that are sometimes the most important that are overlooked.

m12 cable cutter
one handed operation and it does cut 600s. I had my last one for 2 years before it got stolen. It’s one of those tools that’s gets taken for granted, but as soon as i didn’t have one i got one

Not very good
I use this drill at every job. The trigger does not work as well as it gets stuck in gear when trying to change to a different mode. I owned my bosch bullydog for 4 years (still works). Owned the millwakee for 2.5 months

drilling chipping. bit is stuck in tool. second time this has happened. dont even get me started on sawzall quality...or lack thereof
