Works great for hvac techs
I freakin love this thing. I do hvac and I use this constantly. It appeared to me this tool wouldn’t be applicable for hvac because the tool has to spin around the copper but I was wrong. Just slide it over the copper and like magic it’s cut. Another home run for @milwaukeetools. Keep up the awesome work

Milwaukee’s M12 Copper Tubing Cutter cuts ten times faster than conventional cutters making it a must have on the job site. The cutter runs at 500 RPMs for incredible cutting speed. The cutter automatically adjusts to fit copper pipes ranging from 1/2” to 1 1/8” outer diameter. Because of the unique design of the cutting head you only need minimum 1 1/2” clearance to make the cut making this tool a perfect fit for tighter spaces you are working in. The cutter has a built in LED to illuminate the area that you are cutting. The metal cutting head is corrosion and rust resistant and also sealed for water protection. The tool also has an onboard battery fuel gauge that helps you monitor how much battery you have left.
I am currently in the process of doing demolition on a building that I recently purchased and the remodel will take out 5 separate 5 person bathrooms and consolidate into one large bathroom so there is a ton of copper in the building that I will be reusing and to use a traditional hand copper pipe cutter to remove and reinstall the copper made no sense so I purchased this cutter for the job. The cutter works great on all three pipe sizes as described above. Cuts typically take 3-5 seconds and the cuts are clean every time. Replacing the cutting wheel is simple and you can purchase replacement cutting wheels (product number 48-38-0010). I typically run the cutter with a 4.0 battery and it has never died on my even after making cuts all day. There is a switch on the tool that has a cutting mode and when you flip the switch it moves the cutter back into position so you can place on the pipe. Make sure you don’t force the pipe all the way to the back of the cutter but let it sit nicely in the groves for a nice clean cut. Very easy to use and a great addition to my tool collection!!

Great too great design. I use it for copper tubing and steel lubrication & hydraulic tubing while on installs. Not only is is much faster but it is WAY. Easier on your wrists and hands by the end of the day.

I love this tool, yes you have to be careful with it no it’s not gonna last forever but it does well and the price is fair.

A Must Have arthritis preventer
This tool alone made me convert my tools to milwaukee . I love this tool in tight in wall spaces cuts stright every time with litte to no burrs in the copper pipe but only cuts to 1/2 to 1” copper pipe A plumber best tool beats hand cutter by a mile and thumb cutters

This Milwaukee M12 Copper Tube Cutter is amazing!
I have used it for commercial piping and at my house for some hard to reach piping. It provides a very fast and clean cut. Cutting down on time to make all the cuts needed. It's easy to use, and after 200 cuts, the M12 battery was still going. I even cut a pipe with water (not pressurized) and the water spilled onto the tool, and the tool worked great.
My only issue with the tool, is that I wish it could go up to 1 1/2" pipe.
I love it, and am already telling everyone to get it.

The device is not very user friendly. I’ve used this device on 7/8”, 3/4”, and 3/8” copper tubing. The larger sizes took some getting use to, but the 3/8” just wouldn’t cut. The blade kept spinning and bouncing off the copper pipe.
