Q:m12 vs m12 fuel for pvc

      Answer This Question

A:  This unit is fantastic. It cuts everything! 4” PVC should cut like butter.

      by|Apr 18, 2021

A:  The m12 cordless should work just fine ,it has good power to do the job

      by|Apr 23, 2021

A:  If the Hackzall is available in a FUEL version, by all means, purchase that. It will have more torque and strength. Just google M12 vs. M12 FUEL. Also, buy premium blades specific to the job.

        by|Apr 23, 2021

A:  The m12 works great for cutting pvc with the right lenght blade.

            Answer This Question

A:  I want to answer your question I am going to tell you what I have used it on... I have cut about qty 15 - 2-3" limbs on a tree and the battery 1.5 mah was spent. I have cut through lots (like 25-30) of schedule 40 pvc pipe all the way up to 2.5" without a problem. Battery was half spent. I have cut through 10 3/4" copper pipes and the battery was hardly used. With the right blade for the job this saw can do a lot, however, it in no way can beat a corded Sawzall or a beefy one with a battery. This saw is a hacksaw replacement

A:  I have put a 12-inch blade on this little wondersaw to be able to reach into a difficult place, but realistically it will cut through two or three 2x4s. Blades make all the difference. I have also used it to trim tree branches up to 3 or 4 inches.

            by|Nov 26, 2020

A:  Depends on the length of the blade you use. It accepts standard reciprocating saw blades.

            by|Apr 1, 2022

A:  It depends on what blade you put on it. The blade it comes with cuts 3/4 pvc pipe easily, could probably cut 1 inch. It takes regular sawzall blades, so you could put longer ones on there easily. It's not as strong as a sawzall, but I use it a lot in tight quarters.

A:  Only 1 charger and battery for this item.

            by|Oct 26, 2020

A:  Mine came with a charger. I don’t know why you would need an “extra” one.

            by|Apr 19, 2021

A:  If you have multiple m12 batteries to charge, this is a good option: Milwaukee M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion 4-Port Sequential Battery Charger https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-12-Volt-Lithium-Ion-4-Port-Sequential-Battery-Charger-48-59-1204/205846388

            Jammed Up
Tool jammed up so the blade cannot be removed. The release collar is supposed to turn freely to release the blade but it completely jammed up and now the tool is junk! Of course it is outside the warranty period cutoff.

              No what I expected.
Bought this needing to cut holes in plywood for work. The 1.5 mah battery lasted for five cuts barely. Even with the 4 mah it barely lasted 20 cuts. I’m not pleased with this. I have the m12 fuel hammer drill and impact combo and love then. Even have the m12 3/8 impact for the shop and it works amazing, sadly I’m not pleased with this hacksaw. Doesn’t last long and is slow

The Hackzall was very handy when I had to trim the floor and cabinet for a heater vent.

This tool is light weight so my wife can use it to. The batteries are small enough to carry an extra in a pocket or tool belt and buttery life is far greater than expected. Plenty of power but if you are cutting 2 x 4 or nails the battery life is reduced. If you are doing this a lot you may want a corded saw but I love this tool.

I've had this tool about a year now and I really like it's cutting ability & small size. This little hackzall is really quite the beast, you put on the right blade for the job and it'll work just like it's big brother for many jobs! I now go to it first and I'm always amazed how well it cuts! I only wish they would put the slide lock/unlock switch somewhere else, maybe even just a little higher, as it gets hit by accident all the time by my hand and I have to stop what I'm doing to push it back to unlock, the same issue goes for their drill & drivers too for that matter. I've use this tool with attachments as well like scraping blades & metal brushes for paint prep (see pic) and it does a good job with those attachments too. I've even thrown on a tree limb cutting blade to trim my trees & bushes, it's so much, easier, faster, cleaner & safer than a chain saw. If you found this review helpful please click on the thumbs up. Thanks!

I'm Just diy-er who loves quality tools. I used it and bought it cause I had to get into a confined space. To cut some drainpipe. It did the job. Took too long. I should of got a corded saw or a m18 for my application. I just bought the wrong tool... I believe this to be a good tool. It was my fault for using something not designed for the job.

I've had my Hackzall for over a year now and its been through some hard work. I mostly use it for cutting 1/2' conduit but it has gone through 2' before. from angle Iron to 2x4 wood this really takes on the smaller job that you don't want to break the big saw out for. However mine finally died on me. I for sure got my money worth. I looked into sending it in for repair and its $80+ to send it in. I'll probably just upgrade to the Fuel instead of sending it in. I buy a lot of Milwaukee and it's been the first tool yet to quit on me.
