Incredibly versatile, incredible suction
So convenient to use, no annoying cords to deal with. The battery holds its charge for a long while when not in use (and when in use) so whenever I need it its ready to go. I use this for my car all the time and I don't have to worry about sand clogging the filter (or anything else it picks up from under the seats). Also great for cleaning up after small projects around the house, or in the shed (where I don't have access to power). The hose and the attachments fit right inside the lid so it's also extremely easy to transport or just keep in your truck without worry of losing the attachments.

I have one of those large wet/dry vacuums that I hardly use because it is just too big to lug around. Plus, I rarely need to use the entire capacity to pick up wet/dry items. This vacuum is ideal for my lifestyle because it is light, very portable, and the size is perfectly suited to the types of things I need to pick up either at home or on the job. It comes with a good-sized extension hose and two attachments, which fit neatly in the top. Besides providing suction "in," it can also be used to blow air "out," simply by switching the hose to the other side of the unit. Because it doesn't need to be plugged into an outlet, you can use it anywhere. I haven't exhausted the charge yet on any of the times I've used it. A nice plus is that the filter will handle both wet AND dry items. When it gets dirty, simply wash it under the faucet and you are good to go for the next job. Just wish I had had this vacuum a long time ago because it is so handy and obviously built to last for the long haul.

Adequate for small and quick jobs. As for the price, I’m not certain how many folks will get the benefit of using this machine. It’s nice and compact, has good suction, and light weight… Just a little under 10 pounds. With the brushless motor it’s fairly quiet. You can use it as a shop vac or a blower which can come in handy for those tight spots needed to clear out light debris. I was really surprised how much the 12 V battery delivered. It did very well in the back of the car shown in photos with plenty of power to spare. There’s also a battery indicator on the charger and on the main unit itself so you always know where you’re at on battery power. The only thing I wish this thing came with was a 12 V adapter for the unit in case you do lose most of your battery power. I was also surprised how very well-made it is for being made in Vietnam. The carrying case has a nice handle and very sturdy so I would think most folks that would want something like this would want it just for quick jobs in the car.

It is lightweight and portable. This vacuum is self-contained and easy to store, I vacuumed out our two cars and only used one quarter of the battery power. It is easy to carry because it is light weight. It is a great tool to have for spot cleaning around the house, cars, and workshop. It works great for kitty litter that escapes after my cat uses the litter box.

I'm a homeowner/DIY'er, not a professional, so this review comes from that standpoint. If you want to cut to the chase - I really like this vacuum. I wanted the M12 vacuum primarily for keeping the clutter and dirt in the cars down to a manageable level. I have a small, corded shop vac but dragging out the extension cord each time one of the cars needs a touchup is a bother. The M12 is light, offers two power levels (although I have been using it primarily on the 'high' setting), and it's quieter than my corded vac. The M12 comes with a HEPA filter, crevice tool, utility nozzle, one XC6.0 M12 battery, a charger, and a wall mount plate. The hose, nozzle, crevice tool, battery, and filter all fit inside the vacuum case - a feature I like very much. There's no chance of attachments falling out or being knocked out of external mounts. The hose is rated at 5 feet, the vac is so small and light that it's easy to put on a car seat and vacuum the floor with a minimal pull on the hose. The 'all enclosed' design of the case really does make it easy to haul around compared to my corded vac which has the attachments mounted externally. Run time with a full battery, running the vac on high, gives about 14 minutes - and that's not enough time for me to do a complete vacuum on the 4x4 (YMMV, I'm getting slow in my advanced years). I'd recommend a second battery. (I already had some M12 batteries on hand, so the limited run time isn't an issue for me). There's no provision for using a wall plug and cord to power the vacuum. One note - I find that getting the battery out of the vacuum can be finicky - squeezing the battery release tabs is difficult due to the close fit of the housing around the battery (YMMV). The user's manual has instructions on how to use the vacuum for picking up liquids and fine dust particles such as silica. There's a fleece bag available for the really fine stuff but it doesn't come with this kit. The included HEPA filter can be cleaned and reused. The M12 vac has a rating of 1.6 gallons capacity and emptying the vac is a simple matter of unlocking two latches. If you use the wall mount you'll want to go into studs or use good wall anchors. As noted, I use the vac primarily on the High setting and I've had no problems with the vacuum failing to pick up debris from the 4x4's carpeting - this really is an efficient design in a small footprint. I like tools that solve real-world problems for me, and this vac is considerably more 'user friendly' than my corded vac for working on vehicle interiors. It’s really a step up for cleaning the 4x4. COMPACT; EASY TO USE; POWERFUL; QUIET; SHORT BATTERY LIFE — The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12-Volt 1.6 Gal. Lithium-Ion Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum Kit is a compact vacuum useful for limited vacuuming tasks. It is exceptionally well-designed for fitting the vacuum and most of its accessories into such a compact form. With its easy to carry handle, and its accessories being self-contained, it is easy to take wherever it is needed. For wet vac use, a foam filter is needed. For vacuuming light dust, a dust bag is needed. Neither of these accessories is included. It is easy to unlatch the tank and empty it. It can readily be converted to a blower. It comes with a bracket for wall mounting. Low speed works well for vacuuming smooth surfaces but high speed is needed for carpet or rough surfaces. It has excellent suction. After vacuuming for about 10 minutes, 3 on low speed and 7 on high, one of the led lights on the fuel gauge flashed 4 times indicating that only 10% of the battery remained. At that point, I stopped vacuuming and recharged the battery. One drawback is that you need to use it on your knees when in many cases, it would be easier to stand up when vacuuming. Probably to achieve its compactness, a long extension is not available. Fortunately, a long extension from another vacuum sort of fit onto this vacuum allowing me to stand up when doing some vacuuming. I was disappointed that the vacuum hose is not compatible with the dust attachment for the Milwaukee multi-tool. See the photo. It is made in China.

Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12-Volt 1.6 Gal. Lithium-Ion Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum Kit with 6.0 Ah Battery and Charger is a more portable solution for workshop or job site clean-up. I was surprised it uses the M12 battery, its the new larger 6.0 Ah size. It claims more suction power than 18-volt batteries. I currently use an older one gallon corded shop vac that I love the size, was eager to try Milwaukee's M12 version since I already have their tools. Immediately found it easier to get started with no cords to run. The suction is excellent and both of these small vacuums come with exhaust blowers that's handy sending dust out the garage workshop door. The Milwaukee is more compact, has storage space for all the accessories stored inside the case that includes two vacuum end attachments and a five foot hose. Hose is a bit short, but others offer inexpensive 1 1/4-inch wand extensions, if needed. The case closes tight, no bits and pieces leaving behind, falling off, as you go from place to place. It has a two speed power switch that is nice, will save battery time and there is a fuel gauge to monitor the batteries condition. I found using low speed works most of the time, because sawdust doesn't need much effort to suck up, even a breeze just takes it away. On high speed, it'll pick up nails and screws. The debris chamber is on the bottom, uses two large clips to quickly disconnect and empty. It has a large dry HEPA filter inside that can be cleaned and reused. A foam filter is available as an option for wet cleaning. The space aside from the filter is unencumbered. These small footprint vacuums are great to bring along for on-site clean-up. You don't want to carry something bigger along with the power tools, a tool-bag to lug around. It feels sturdily built, including the plastic-like clips after checking them out. The vacuum's run time is obviously battery dependent. They claim half hour on low speed and 15 minutes on high with the 6.0 Ah battery. If you're using it for just cleaning up your mess at the end, shouldn't be a problem or carry a spare battery to play safe. I've tried it out on a couple of projects and run time was more than enough. I plan to use it now mostly cleaning around my router table and table saw, the dust collection just isn't that effective. Previously, had to setup my corded vac, but this is so much faster. The Milwaukee vacuum is all about convenience in use and portability, but surprisingly, does an excellent job vacuuming, too.

The new Milwaukee M12 Fuel 12-Volt 1.6 Gallon (6.1L) Wet/Dry Shop Vac is the quietest shop vac I've ever had. It totally outclassed my old corded Craftsman 2 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac in every way--construction, features, style and most of all--function. The Powerstate brushless motor is significantly quieter (it didn't scare my cat away...in fact she just casually walked up and started eating when I was testing it). All the accessories are stored under the lid in the top compartment. A place for everything and for everything a place. This includes even the hose. The Milwaukee's injection-molded construction (a significant tooling expense) allows for details like integrated latches that actually work and are easy to use. In the well-gasketed lower tank compartment is the injection-molded HEPA filter (turn-to-click installation) that covers the ball float cage. The receiver for the HEPA filter is nicely gasketed as well. In contrast the Craftsman has a sock-like bag with an elastic band to cover the ball float cage. The Craftsman's blow-molded construction relies on "living hinges" for the tank latch mechanisms and take quite a bit of effort to get them to engage on both sides or disengage. Recently I needed a wet vac to clear my AC condensate line outside my house and suck up overflow in the catch pan. I needed one to get all the gunk out of the sump of my dishwasher so I could replace a sensor. I needed a wet vac when I replaced a leaky kitchen faucet, replaced the water dispenser valve in my fridge, and cleared my clothes washer filter. I also use my vac to inflate/deflate my Zodiac. A very handy tool. 5 stars!

Here we have another great product from the Milwaukee brand of tools. This battery operated wet/dry vacuum is lightweight, but yet has impressive suction power and battery durability for its size. It now sits at the side of my workbench for quick access. I also purchased the optional Fleece Dust Bag attachment so I may use the tool to vacuum up ash from our wood stove and drywall dust. The only downside is the short vacuum hose which limits the reach of the wet/dry vac. I find myself carrying the unit in one hand while using the other hand to control the vacuum hose for dirt pickup. See attached photographs.

Best portable vac that I’ve used in more than ten years. I’ve tried different brands, different sizes, and there’s always an issue. The battery doesn’t last, or it takes forever to charge, it’s heavy moving around in tight places, etc. This Milwaukee M-12 vacuum is a dream come true. It’s short in length, plenty acceptable in height, not heavy, yet it is powerful. And it has two speeds, use whichever is appropriate to your job. And with the visible FUEL gauge that’s visible when you start the vac, you know just how much power is left, in case you need to hot swap to another battery before it’s completely dead. It uses an excellent filter that does a great job and comes with all the tools I need. It’s very easy to move in and around the inside of my truck and when done, everything packs inside the case. And the best part? It even comes with a plastic plate to wall mount it! No more using valuable shelf space to store your shop vac, it can easily be hung directly on my shop wall. The four holes allow the 1 ½” screws to hold it securely to my shop wall, right next to my band saw. This vac is a keeper!
