Only some of Milwaukee's products are made in the USA. According to their website, they also have manufacturing facilities in China and Europe. Their main American facilities are in Brookfield, Wisconsin and three cities in Mississippi: Greenwood, Jackson and Olive Branch.

Hello! Our M12 FUEL 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool (2526-20) features a blade change lever. This provides a tool-free blade change for faster accessory changes.

Does anyone else get sawdust inside the LED housing?

I don't but have seen others get it. You could try changing the mounting direction of the blade if possible. I haven't heard of any failures due to this though and if it does, well, there's always the 5 year warranty!

How long does it last at full speed with the 4.0Ah battery?

I've used it extensively for a few days before it needed a charge. The battery will hold for a good while. Before day 3 I had to charge the battery.

Is this oscillating tool compatible with Starlock OSL series oscillating blades from Bosch?

Yes, according to to Bosch they fit both the M12 and M18. I highlighted Milwaukee on the list.

Is a dust extraction accessory available for this M12 tool?

I believe that the extractor attachment that others are referring to does not fit on the M12 FUEL since the collar it would snap onto is too large. I tried to put it on, but I had to remove some material with a chisel to get it to fit.

The M12 fuel is the best oscillating tool Milwaukee makes, and that's after pitting it against the M18. It's smaller, lighter and has the exact same power. Factoring in that it's cheaper, it's a hard case for the M18. I've also compared this to its yellow competitor and it far exceeds it in ease of use. It cuts wood faster, gets through thick nails and has a 5 year warranty as opposed to 3. If you need a multi-tool, the M12 is the best way to go. If I had one gripe it's that I don't like the switch on. It can be dangerous if dropped so be sure to take care when using it. I made a video of the M12 pit against competitors on YouTube. Just do a search for "Things That Really Work" Thanks!

I have had the chance to put this tool to use on some home repairs around my house. This is a great tool. At only 12 volts, the brushless motor gives it the same work output as an 18 volt or 20 volt brushed multi tool. When doing wood work, it is nice to has a cordless sander next to the miter saw to quickly sand down the sharp edges and to make smooth any rough edges. I needed to make some plunge cuts into lumber that only this tool could make; that was when I realized the true power of this tool. Unbeknownst to consumers like myself, Milwaukee chose to not incorporate a quick-change mechanism for the changing of attachments. While no tool is required to change an attachment, the operator is still required to loosen a bolt in order to change attachments. Other multi tools have a lever that pops off an attachment and for installation, the attachments simply snap on. When I am using the sanding pad attachment and I want to switch over to a blade attachment, I have to remove the sandpaper which means destroying the loop fastener material on the back of the sandpaper. Milwaukee needs to incorporate a true quick-changing mechanism into the 2.0 version of this tool. The sandpaper should wear out before the loop fastener material.

Portable power at a good price. The Milwaukee Oscillating Tool (Model 2526-21XC) cuts as quickly as my plug-in tool but without the hassle of cord. It balances easily but one-handed cutting is harder to control because the blade is so far forward of the hand grip. It also tires my wrist a bit more. Like the other M12 tools, it balances perfectly on the flat M12 battery pack. The LED shines nicely on the top of the blade but its shadow makes it difficult to line up a cut from the underside of the blade when needed. As usual, blades can be installed at a variety of angles, but note the LED always shines forward. There's only one thing I dislike about the tool: the blade lock mechanism. Changing blades means flipping a lever AND unscrewing the capture bolt; my corded unit just uses the lever, which automatically releases the capture bolt. I also had a major issue with the battery, which I'm hoping is specific to my unit. The battery WOULD NOT install completely, and needed two of us pulling to remove it. Other M12 batteries had the same issue. I had to remove a rubber bumper inside the battery compartment in order to seat the battery and make it removable (See photo). I've never had, or expected, an issue like that with a Milwaukee tool. The kit comes with a single blade, a sanding pad, some sanding sheets, an M12-only charger and a zippered canvas case. Everything BUT the blade is made outside the USA; the tool and bag are Made in China. It's an ideal tool for renovation work – I've used it on several door trim and baseboard replacement projects and the battery is still on its first charge. I may never use my corded tool again.

Strong tool with poor build quality. Not dustproof!
I bought this after reading all the hype about the new M12 Fuel Multi Tool. Compared to my teal which is a workhorse, this one is definitely faster, no doubts. However, this has a more aggressive cutting angle and brushless motor, so increased cutting speed is of no surprise. What is surprising for a premium M12 tool though, is its non-ruggedness. After 5-6 test cuts on studs, the dust is everywhere inside the tool. Look at the photo! The sawdust is even blocking the LEDs from inside! Is that for real, Milwaukee?? Also, the battery insertion/removal is a pain. This is a tool that someone would intend to use with CP batteries for the compactness, portability, and maneuverability, but there's no way to do a quick battery change once the CP battery is out of juice. Probably the battery clips are going to fail at some point. In summary, this is a strong tool, but I doubt its longevity because of the poor manufacturing of the housing. Kind of a regret really, and will be going back to my dust-proof and overbuilt teal multi tool..

If I could give this thing 10 stars I would. I upgraded from a corded inexpensive multi tool to this and the difference is night and day! I have used this every day for the past month just because it is so easy to set up and start using in seconds. I love that I don’t have to have an Allen wrench with me to change to a new blade! I also used this to sand a vanity I just made and it got into all the hard to reach areas that my oscillating sander can’t reach! It also EATS wood while sanding so go easy with it! On its highest setting with the wood cutting blade from Milwaukee it can cut through 2x4s and 2x6s in seconds! I also got a ton of other blades and scrapers to use with it and it handles them all. The vibration is also very minimal on this multi tool compared to my last and is my favorite feature, I can barely feel it even on higher settings and it helps me cut straighter and with more accuracy. I highly recommend Milwaukees new FUEL multi tool and all their attachments! But make sure you have a spare battery or two if you have a large project. This will be one of your favorite new tools, it can do so much and handles itself like a much larger corded tool!

This is one of the most useful & versatile tools I use. I used this tool to selectively remove dry rotted 5/8" thick Cedar siding on my garage outside wall. I put a piece of masking tape on the included cutting blade, at the depth of the siding, so I wouldn't cut past the siding. I scribed a vertical line on the siding. I set the speed to 12 (max speed). In seconds the blade made a clean, effortless cut through the siding. I also used this oscillating tool to selectively sand off peeling paint on the outside door frame, preparing it for painting. I used 60 grit which removed the peeling paint very quickly. Prepping for painting has never been easier. All the peeling paint was gone in minutes. This package includes grits: 60, 80, 2-120, 240. I also used this tool, with cutting blade attached, to cut a PVC pipe in the field, at my farm. It made quick easy work of fixing a broken water line. There are a lot of features on this tool. The headlite is VERY handy & appreciated, by my aging eyes. The remaining battery power indicator lightes clearly show when a recharge is needed, before I start the next project. The speeds range from 1-slow to 12-very fast. Wondering which speed to use for a project was easily determined by adjusting the speed, as the tool was running, to see how it performed on the task. The M12 battery never failed to provide all the power I needed & recharged in minutes. I LOVE the super quick blade changing design. I simply raised the quick release lever, which loosens the retaining bolt, made a couple turns on the bolt & removed the blade. A GREAT detail is the magnetic adapter head. Once a new blade is seated on the magnetic adapter head the magnetic head HELD the blade in place till the bolt was hand tightened & the quick release lever was closed. Most of the tool has a non slip rubber like coating, is perfectly balanced & comfortable to hold & work with. It immediately reaches working speed. It includes: a heavy duty carrying case, operating manuals for the oscillating tool, battery & charger. This is a highest quality tool.

This is another great Milwaukee tool. I have several other M12 tools so this allows me to interchange tools and batteries as needed. I like that this is an all-in-one type set. You not only get the oscillating tool with standard accessories, but also a 4.0 ah battery and a charger. The set comes in a nice convenient tool bag. Once you charge the battery, you are ready to go to work.

This is a review of the Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit with 4.0 Ah Battery, Charger, Accessories and Tool Bag. I really like the improvements made to this tool. I have the previous version, and this one is so much easier to change the blades on. You don't need a specific hex wrench any more. You can change the blades with any flat item, even a dime. There is an LED light which is nice. I was pretty surprised how much bigger the new tool is. The head is significantly bigger. I do like the rubber around the body that makes it much easier to grip. The new tool seems a little quieter and a lot smoother when running.

ADD-BOY MILWUAKEE! Milwaukee comes through with another winner. This tool is amazing and works well for many different types of tasks. What's fantastic about this kit is that it comes with everything you need to get started. The bag is no joke either. The attention to details and quality is given to every part of this kit. If your doing precision or fine work this tool is a must have. I have a plumbing task coming up at work and this tool couldn't of come at a better time. The tight spots that I need to get into will be easier to work with now that I have this tool for the repair. The light is the best part for me. Since I will be in a semi light dark space its going to help out big time! Switching out different types of cutting blades is easy as 1-2-3! They made this tool to be easy to use but durable as a tank! For this one... You get my "ADDA-BOY!" award Milwaukee!!!

The Milwaukee cordless oscillating multi-tool kit comes with a 4.0 Ah Battery, Charger, Accessories and Tool Bag. I have other corded oscillating tools but this tool exceeds the others in the way it accepts accessories (cutting tools), vibration and cutting speed. The tool has a range of speed from 10,000 OPM to 20,000 OPM. It comes with a fuel gauge to tell you the amount of charge left in the battery. When you turn ON the tool the fuel gauge will light up for 2-3 seconds showing the amount of charge in the battery. Typical applications for this tool include sawing/cutting, scraping and sanding. I found this tool to be excellent for cutting in electrical and switch outlets in plaster board. What I like most about this tool is not having an AC cord to plug in or to find an outlet to plug into. When changing accessories make certain that you lift the release level and push it firmly forward over the detent. If not you will not be able to unscrew the accessary bolt to remove or attach accessories.
