I am considering buying this tool, but I am not a fan of mesh sandpaper. Does Milwaukee make other types of sandpaper? Or if not, with the off-brands of sandpaper for this tool stick to the base?
Great question! The M12 FUEL Orbital Detail Sander uses a hook-and-loop pad, so yes, you can use other sandpapers, as long as they match the shape and have hook-and-loop backing. Milwaukee’s included sheets are mesh for dust collection, but any compatible H&L type sheet works (off-brand included).
How long will the 2.0 battery that comes with it last?

The width of the pad is not 1.99 inches, it's 2 and 5/8 inches. This screwed me up because I had a space that needed sanding that was 2 inches.
