No, I have not seen a saw that can do that, at least where you can just buy one off the shelf. They are some saw's that are in the practice fields that are going some different things, but I would not trust any of them to do professional work. If you do make plunge cuts, do it very careful and with a sharpe circular saw blade and be sure to work the saw where it will not kick back on you, be careful

This saw uses a side-mount/ direct connect electric motor.. it is not a worm gear driven tool.

49-39-3001 is not listed in any online store. This part has likely been discontinued, If you would like to try finding one let me know because this dust adapter is strangely impossible to find. Home depot cannot special order this part, per home depot customer service, it is also not listed on the Milwaukee website to even click on to “find” where to buy it. Too bad such a nice option has vanished.

Very happy with performance. And doesn't eat batteries as I expected it would. I've had the same battery in it all day and made over a hundred cuts. High quality. Feels good in my hand. Doesn't feel like junk. Very well built and it's brushless. Can't beat it. And I have used Ridgid and DeWalt and neither one even compare to this Milwaukee. Top of the line!

Great in the hands, powerful
Customer review from homedepot.ca logo
Got this as a "free" tool after buying an expensive batteries and charger kit. This saw is powerful and was able to cut through 2x4s and stacked 5/8" OSB boards with ease. It cuts smoothly and I have had no hang ups even when restarting a cut when stopping mid cut. It is fairly light even with the battery and is comfortable to use long term. Raptor hook works well although I wish it allowed for more hooking positions. Electronic break works excellent and almost immediately stops the blade from spinning after releasing the triggers. Only time will tell how long it will last. Comes with a metal blade guard which is nice so you won't have any cracked blade guards down the line but at the same time it may damage work surfaces when placing this down. Great rubberized grips and feels nice and secure in the hands. You will feel in control grabbing this thing which is great when dealing with potential kickback. Downsides, it has no positive stops for common angles when cutting bevels so you could be making cuts with slight angle deviations. Measurement numbers are also slightly hard to read since they are engraved in the metal (aluminum I think) but at the same time won't be easily rubbed off. I am also right handed so I prefer the blade on the left side but I'm getting used to right side blade of this saw. The dust extraction is quite good as it will spray it all out of the port and away from you, however, this does not come with a shop vac hookup in the box. You will have to buy that adapter separate which will add to the cost of an already expensive 7 1/4" saw. At the MSRP value of the saw, it definitely has the Milwaukee tax on it but if you just want a powerful saw that cuts well and provides great control, this is a good choice.

Great Circular saw
I used this to help fix my fence recently. It is a great saw and never seems to drain the battery.

depth adjuster loose after two weeks of owning
My complaint is about the depth adjusting knob. It became loose after two weeks of owning the saw. Unlike Ridgid, it is not repairable unless you take off the fence and other things. I purchased Milwaukee hoping it would be an upgrade from Ridgid, but im disapointed, perhaps it is aside from this issue, but I’m not giving them the benefit, especially for $50 more than the Ridgid. I will return the saw and go back to Ridgid! Keep in mind that I bought it to replace a 6 1/2 Ridgid I purchased in 2013 and still works but wanted a 7.1/4 brushless.

Motor locked
I recently switched all my power tools from dewalt to Milwaukee. We’ve been doing rather light duty work the past 3 months and everything worked great. I was happy thinking i made a great decision based on advice of another pro. Unfortunately first bigger job i take on with the new Milwaukee tools. In just a 2 week period a fuel circular saw, 2 circular saws that come in the kits and a fuel hacksaw all burnt out on me. Motors will not spin. Im a bit worried considering what ive spent on buying all the Milwaukee tools i needed to stock all my trucks.

(What's this)
This was ordered online and shipped to my home without issue. I've been using this on jobs around the house. everything from cutting down 2x4's and ripping down plywood panels. Out of the box you will need to attach the saw blade and finish charging the battery. This saw is pretty quiet for a skill saw. It is balanced nice and not awkward to use. However since this is a cordless saw it doesn't have as much torque as a corded saw, so the blade can bind if you don't take your time on your cuts. But overall this saw is awesome and i highly recommend adding this to your tool collection.

The Milwaukee M18, 18 Volt Lithium-ion Brushless, Cordless, 7 1/4 inch Circular Saw with one 5.0AH Battery also comes with the charger and a bag to store everything. The instructions are straight forward with safety as a priority. Changing and installing the blade is easily done using the allen key stored on the saw. The best feature is the fact that it is cordless, no more worries dragging a power cord where ever you work. The 5.0AH battery lasts a long time and recharges in a short amount of time. Overall its a great saw and using it is a pleasure!

(What's this)
The M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 7-1/4" Circular Saw is a very good quality full-size saw. My husband is a contractor and says it has a lot more power compared to other battery powered saws … with some to spare. It has cut through spruce 2' x 4' and pine 2' x 10' with ease. It also rips through 1/2" plywood easily. The LED light that shines where you are cutting is a nice bonus and works well. The 5.0Ah battery charged up in about 30 minutes. The charger includes a slot to charge a smaller circular battery; like a drill battery. The M18 Circular Saw is used every day on a construction site and the battery has not gone low, but it has not yet been used for a full day at one time. You may need a second battery for a full day of nothing except sawing. Although there is a place for a rip fence guide it does not come with one like some circular saws. When looking on the Milwaukee website it was unclear which one would go with this saw so we sent an email to find out and are still waiting on the reply. The saw comes with a carrying case that is strong enough to hold the saw, but also lightweight. There are several pockets on the inside, but so far nothing relevant to the saw actually fits in the pockets. But it is still a nice bag. My husband would highly recommend the M18 Cordless 7-1/4" Circular Saw.

(What's this)
This saw dispelled my concerns that a battery powered circular saw would be under-powered. It isn't. The Milwaukee kit includes everything you need: saw, blade, battery, charger and storage bag. Following the instructions to install the blade one thing seemed to be missing- an Allen key, but no it was stored in the saw itself- a nice touch. The saw cuts smoothly and has plenty of power from the brush-less motor, it is every bit as powerful as my corded saw that I will probably never use again. It my crowded shop there is never enough room, but this saw has a built in storage hook so I can hang it on the wall. Very convenient as I am using the saw a lot.

(What's this)
This is the first battery operated saw I've owned and I am very impressed with it. The blade it comes with is excellent, the carbide cutters give a clean cut. The saw is easily adjusted for angle and depth. It also has a light to help you see. It has plenty of power and cuts as good as a saw which uses ac power. The motor is brushless which makes it more efficient and long lasting The handles make it easy to hold and guide. The power switch has a safety so it won't start unless you hold it down, it is well placed which makes it easy do use. It comes with a charger which can charge two types of batteries. Also included is a carrying bag. This is a high quality tool. The fact that you don't have to use an extension cord makes it mobile and allows you to set up quickly. This is definitely my favorite saw!
