When putting the battery pack on the charger, the charger had red/green blinking, no steady red. After cleaning the contacts and trying to put the battery pack multiple times in, it charged both batteries. Once. Now, it's back to red/green blinking. Why?

If you put two batteries in the charger it will charge the one you put in first then charge the one you put in second. It is not defective.
Right out of the box mine is doing the same thing cant get either battery to charge
