About This Product

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 30° Framing Nailer Kit sets the new standard for cordless framing nailers. By leveraging a nitrogen spring mechanism, POWERSTATE brushless motor, and REDLINK Intelligence, this nailer provides users with pneumatic performance and the convenience and freedom of cordless power. Delivering the power to sink full round head nails into dense engineered lumbers, this framing nailer enables users to tackle even the most demanding framing applications. To keep users productive and efficient throughout the day, the framing gun fires 3 nails per second with zero ramp-up time, meaning a nail is fired as soon as the user pulls the trigger. Additionally, the cordless framing nailer operates using only Milwaukee's REDLITHIUM Batteries and sealed compressed nitrogen to drive each nail, completely eliminating the cost of gas cartridges and maintenance associated with competitors' nailers. The M18 FUEL 30° Framing Nailer delivers the pneumatic performance and durability that professional carpenters and remodelers expect, without the hassle of a compressor and hose or gas cartridge. The Milwaukee Performance Safety Glasses with Gaskets provide Advanced Protection with Ultimate Performance. The safety glasses feature a removeable gasket that protects the user's eyes against debris. For added protection, the lenses are high-velocity impact tested providing users with military grade impact protection.

Fogged up and concrete dust got through the gasket
After only one use I am completely disappointed in these. I was hammer drilling drop in anchors above head and figured I would try these out so I’m would stop getting concrete dust in my eyes and stop fogging up my regular safety glasses from wearing my dust mask. These turned out to be just as worst as your run of the mill 2$ safety glasses. I got so much concrete dust inside that every time I wiped it off they would scratch up. I don’t understand what the gasket is even for if it doesn’t work.

Pretty much plug and play. Works wonderful, plenty of power. Did what I needed it to do.

This nail gun is extremely nice to use during construction projects. It fits between 16-inch center studs and joists with about ½ inch to spare. Great for those tight spaces where you cannot get a good swing of a hammer. Drives nails into many types of material and does not mar the surface like those checkered face hammers. Beneficial in cases where the wood is exposed like stairs, decks, or gazebos. The only con of the nail gun that I can think of, is the weight. It does seem heavy, but considering you do not have to haul around an air hose I think it is worth the weight. So many benefits outweigh the burden of picking up 10 pounds. I painted a few silver stripes on the nose to provide assistance in toe-nailing and critical nail placements. I did notice that when you are flush nailing and have the depth adjusted for that, the toe nails stick out about ¼" proud. The tool locks out when there are still 8 left in the magazine. I had 1 instance of a double-nail. I think it happened at the transition of one strip to the next. It was my first strip and I suppose I could have loaded it improperly, with the new strip below the one that was already in the magazine. This would explain how 2 nails got driven in one cycle. All in all, I really appreciate the accuracy and clean look of the fastening. No more hammer marks.

This thing is super efficient. Battery lasts forever and seems to last quite a while. I've had to reload nail strips many times without changing the battery. I have not counted but I am using the smaller thin red lithium batteries too. So, I am getting many strips of nails from the smaller packs. Can be hard on the wrist but that is true for any nailer. This is a serious nailer for serious jobs. No problem driving nails into oak. I've used at this point for a lot of projects.

What an awesome machine! While it's a bit heavy, the rewards are worth it, and I still think it is a 5-star tool! The cordless feature saves you from having to drag a compressor and hose to the job site. It also doesn't require any CO2 cannisters like some other models. It can put nails in as fast as you would need for any job (3 nails per second), and it can handle nails from 2 to 3.5 inches in length. The depth is easily adjusted with a couple fingers, and nails are easy to reload. There is also an extended-capacity magazine (see image) that doubles your nail capacity. It is well worth it for a project of any size. This is currently my favorite tool!

THe MILWAUKEE M18 FUEL 3-1/2 IN. 18-VOLT 30-DEGREE LITHIUM-ION BRUSHLESS CORDLESS FRAMING NAILER KIT WITH 5.0 AH BATTERY CHARGER, BAG is a great kit. I recieved it last week and put it to use right away. My family and I nailed up to wall with it. It holds a lot of nails in its magazine and the battery lasts for along time. I love the30 degree angle to nail with and the portability is great. I would recommend this for any heavy construction job. one possible disadvantage is it is heavy to use.

Few companies have managed to get a battery operated framing nailer right on their first try, but Milwaukee did! This tool is very well executed, with great speed for sequential firing, good maneuverability for working in tight spaces, excellent battery life and good feel. I have the leading competitor's 18V cordless framing nailer and, while that doesn't lack power, the Milwaukee seems to have even more! The tines on the safety shoe get good grip for toe nailing and allow for precise nail placement. Additionally, while not light - about the same weight as my other cordless nailer, it has a quality grip and is easy to use. The power button and single/sequential firing mode selectors are easy to access and should be able to be operated with gloves on. Downsides: same as most framing nailers - it is not quiet and the stock magazine holds just over a single strip of nails. Additionally, the dry-fire lockout seems to kick in with about 4 nails left, which is a little irritating. Overall though, a great execution on an essential tool.

The picture of the porch was done with 2 air nail guns and compressor, tripped over cord and hoses many times. Now it's just me and the tool, no cord, no hoses or compressor. Work is so much easier with just me and the tool. the tool is easy to fill with nails and to use. These battery nail guns make work much safer then using air nail guns. I look forward to buying other size nail guns by Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 3-1/2 in. 18-Volt 30-Degree Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Framing Nailer Kit with 5.0 Ah Battery Charger and Bag is almost as good as it gets for a battery framing nailer. Like a lot of people have mentioned, it is heavy, I got 11.2 with battery on the bath scale. Not to heavy for the amount of work you can do with it, fast. The speed you can nail and time you save will make up for that. Realistically, once I started working and nailing, I never thought about the weight again. Wow this monster is powerful and easy to use. Any project you have to build with this will make the work so much faster, more accurate and easier. You don't have to worry about wood shifting around while you swing a hammer. I like that I can also charge my M12 batteries with the charger. I couldn't find any wood this thing wouldn't bury a 3.5 inch nail in with ease. I even got an old hard oak pallet and sunk some 3.5 inch nails. I wish I had this when I was building my 16X22' shed!

This kit includes the nailer, XC5.0 battery, standard M18/M12 charger and a contractor’s bag. It’s a very powerful, but heavy framing nailer - no ramp up time, it fires the moment you need it but it is loud, not really a problem outdoors, but it is when working in a confined space. This has an ON OFF switch and a mode selector located at the rear, above the battery. When ON, you don’t have to worry about it timing out - it will stay on for 2 hours. A push button switches between single and bump modes. In the bump mode, its fast, it fires as fast as you can lift and drop the head to fire - the claim is 3 nails per second. The LED light comes on when the trigger is partially pressed and provides general illumination, not very bright, but it helps in dark places. The included magazine holds one strip of nails, Milwaukee sells an extended magazine which can hold two strips of nails. Weight of empty nailer alone is 9 lbs 11 oz. the weight of the empty nailer with the XC5.0 battery is 11 lb 4 oz., the total weight including a strip of nails is 11.5+ pounds. The weight is helpful when firing downward - reducing recoil, but becomes tiring when nailing overhead – for some work I had to use both hands to hold this up for longer periods. The contractor’s bag is18” long x 16” tall x 9.5” wide at the base with pockets on the outside, and includes a shoulder strap.
