This is the case with a lot of Milwaukee tool combos at Home Depot. However if you watch for deals you can often find special buys on the kits that are significantly cheaper.

You will definitely want the 3' extension attachment to go with this. The power head and pole saw together are a little less than 7 feet long.

I bought mine at my local chainsaw shop. Just brought it in there and they matched it up. I don’t remember the cost but I also bought the right sized file to sharpen the other one. Seems like it was in the $15 - $20 range.

This pole saw along with the extension makes cutting down branches, limbs, and small trees a breeze. No ladder and no struggling to start the engine, and no exhaust fumes... just the smell of fresh cut wood. It doesn't seem to eat the battery very quickly either. One negative is you can cut down quickly and not realize how much cleanup there is, and it it doesn't automatically help cleanup the fallen mess. However, it does help by cutting it up into smaller pieces for transport.

Awesome attachment
I got the pole saw attachment to help me with the tall trees in the yard. I wanted to raise the canopy because the trees were many years past due for a proper trim. The saw is very well made. It is professional grade in quality. Adjusting the chain is easy and the oil reservoir keeps the chain lubed. Also, it doesn't leak! As a unit, it works great with my 9a battery and did the job without needing a recharge. It cuts like a champ. I just let the weight of the saw do all the work and was done in no time.

This pole saw attachment has been extremely handy for tree trimming. I highly recommend it for the ease of use, power and convenience. Milwaukee, as usual, did a great job designing it.

Great pole saw attachment...
This pole saw works well. I applied some lube to the attachment end as well as inside the power head tubing. This has made attaching and detaching the pole saw easy. I also applied a small amount of silicone lube to the saw bar and plastic parts to make it easier to clean after use. The saw cuts easily, going through 4 inch branches. I’ve been using a 3aH High Output battery and it does the job. This is a moderately heavy pole saw with a 3 aH battery. The bigger batteries make it pretty heavy to carry for long. The chain loosened a bit after a few branches, as might be expected for a new blade.

Sunday morning trimming!
I've owned it for over a year now and am only reviewing it now because I feel I've used it enough to give an experience based opinion. These are beasts. I have used the 10" attachment for pruning and lately for getting rid of a broken 14" thick red pine that was up rooted by a recent storm. The 10" saw didn't even flinch! It took care of it all, branches and trunk, what a purchase. Oh, and did I say I did it all a Sunday morning and I bothered no one! That's right, it's quiet. Not hush quiet, but far from a typical gas powered chainsaw. The chainsaw stayed in the garage and the attachment came out!

Valued new tool-doubles as hedge trimmer in a pinch!
I bought QuikLok system recently with the weed eater attachment. Now I’ve expanded to add pole saw to deal with overgrown branches. Only issue was the pole saw looked seated but was not at first. I might have returned it but watched helpful video that clued me in. A slight turn on the attachment pole and it fully seated and cranked up. I’d retract my negative first review if I could find it.

This is a great pole saw, what prevents it from being perfect in eyes are a lack of features that I found in a lesser known brand(lack of a tool free tension adjuster , the saw lacks an adjustable handled(I know there is an extension but the purpose of the quik lok is quick and easy transitions it would be a lot quicker to adjust the reach from it's handle than to disconnect it , connect the extension and then connect the pole saw. Also a lack of an adjustable head. I used pole saws with that feature and it is very helpful. This has two settings(another small issue is that the icons for the both settings are white and they are illuminated by a white light, so using this on a sunny day and it is difficult to see which mode you are in(see pic below). Even on the lowest setting, I found that this had more than enough power to cut my tree limbs in a fast and clean manner. For all of my limbs I used the slow setting(Turtle) and it got the job done. I felt no need to put it on the higher setting(Rabbit). I only used the higher setting once just to test it and it definitely cuts faster. The pole saw felt good to me, not too heavy. I had an older co-worker try and it out and she commented on how manageable it was to use. There are 2 pts of contact that need to be initiated to activate the pole saw, and it fires up instantly. Overall this is a great pole saw. Just remember to grab bar and chain oil when using it .

I have a wooded backyard and one of the ways I keep it from becoming overgrown is by trimming low-hanging branches. In the past this usually involved setting up a ladder to reach branches with my bow saw or chain saw. I’ve never felt completely safe cutting from a ladder. About a month ago I got a Quik-Lok Pole Saw attachment for the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Power Head. Let me tell you, it’s a new world out back in the woods. The Pole Saw has become one of my most useful outdoor tools. The whole Quik-Lok system is thoughtfully designed and well-constructed. It assembles easily and feels solid when it’s put together. There’s no flexing or twisting of the pole while operating the saw. It feels safe to use. The 10" bar is plenty long for cutting most branches that I encounter. The specs state that the maximum branch diameter that can be cut is 9”. I’ve cut branches up to about 5” in size without any problems. The saw is surprisingly powerful, and it cuts fast. The branch hook is a useful feature for keeping the saw engaged on branches, and I haven’t experienced any kickback. I did take time to carefully read the entire operator’s manual before using the saw. The Safety Rules on page 3 have been especially useful to me. I’ve used many electric chainsaws, and the automatic oiler on this saw works better than any of the others. I use Echo Premium Bar and Chain Oil (THD SKU #536485), not motor oil, and the oiler keeps the chain well lubricated without overlubricating. I usually loosen the chain after using the saw and then retighten it before and during use. The chain tensioner is easy to adjust to maintain the proper tension. The manual states that the power head + pole saw attachment can accommodate a single 3’ extension, so I’ve ordered one for delivery to my local HD. I think adding more than one extension would make the saw unwieldy.
