The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2 in to 2 in. PEX Expander with ONE KEY is the fastest, lightest, and most compact way to install 2 in. PEX expansion pipe (Pex- A). The auto-rotating head mechanism provides uniform expansions for the most consistent installations. Users can make up to 3x faster connections utilizing the pipe size selector switch to optimize the expansion speed. The new dedicated 2 in. PEX expander head's integrated cone design reduces the travel length of the expander's expansion cone, allowing for the most compact 2 in. solution. The D-handle design gives users balance and control for 1-handed connections. All-metal gears and an integrated metal frame deliver maximum tool durability on the job site. The POWER STATE brushless motor allows for the fastest expansions yet runs cooler with no wearable components. The Milwaukee 2719-20 M18 FUEL HACKZALL is the fastest cutting and most powerful 1-handed design reciprocating saw. Utilizing a POWER STATE Brushless Motor and a best-in-class 7/8 in. stroke length, the M18 FUEL HACKZALL cuts up to 50% faster than competitors. The compact, 1-handed design provides superior control and the ability to make cuts in tight spaces.

Q:What length blade can be used in the m18 hack saw
      by|Nov 11, 2022
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  Hello! The Quik-Lok® Blade Clamp can be used with all 1/2" shank universal Hackzall® and Sawzall® blades. When selecting a blade, choose the right type and length. Many types of blades are available for a variety of applications: cutting metal, wood, nail-embedded wood, scroll cutting, roughing-in, and contours. Many lengths are also available. Choose a length long enough to extend beyond the shoe and your work throughout the stroke. Do not use blades less than 3-1/2" long since they won’t extend beyond the shoe throughout the stroke.

Q:Does this saw have the power to cut through larger animal bones on one charge, let's say around 20-30 large, thick animal bones per battery charge?

        Answer This Question

A:  Short answer yes.  It would also depend on the size of the battery.

A:  Yes. With the right blade and battery. Get at least a 4.0 or 5.0 amp hour battery and it will be more than enough.

            2 found this answer helpful

A:  Cannot answer about animal bones. But, we use it to cut stuffing box bolts and that is hardened steel. We can cut 6 boxes with 4 bolts each with no issues and plenty of battery life. Hope this helps.

              Simply awesome
My Milwaukee and Ridgid 18v brushless one handed sawzalls are my favorite tools in my shop. Don't buy the Ryobi when it comes to this particular tool. You will be more satisfied with the Milwaukee or Ridgid. Great tools!!!

I normally do not write negative reviews but I wanted to share my experience with this product. Milwaukee makes great products however the hackzall in my experience is not one of them. I use this saw 2-3 times a week in my work and after less than 1 year I noticed the vibration had increased greatly and when in use the sound of the tool is extremely loud. The handle gets so hot you need gloves to hold it comfortably. The vibration now is so intense it hurts your hands and makes using it a dreaded chore. I have never abused the tool and am only cutting styrofoam with occasional wood every now and then. I will attach photos to my post to show how new the tool looks. It is extremely disappointing to pay hard earned money for a quality tool and have it wear out in less than a year. I have a corded sawzall that I have had for over 25 years and it still runs great. It is just heavy and with the cord it creates a work hazard. In summary for potential buyers I would say if you are someone that may use this tool once every few months then it may work great for you with many years of service. If you use it once a year to prune a tree or shrub it could last your lifetime however if you are a professional that uses it weekly do not expect to get a years worth of use out of it. It is designed in my opinion as a throw away tool once it breaks as parts are not available to fix it on your own. I hope others have better luck with this model than I have had.

                  UPGRADE FROM THE ORIGINAL
Love this hacksaw. Great for overhead work. One handed operation and any other need. When the band saw and sawzall do not fit this guy will and perform the same. I keep this at an arms reach cause its so convinient to grab and go. Especially when running conduit overhead. I bought this set for $250 with a 5.0 battery charger and bag. A bonus was vacuum. Love milwaukee tools

This review is for the Milwaukee “Hackzall” battery powered reciprocating saw. This saw is part of the Milwaukee “M18 Fuel” line of battery powered tools so the battery is interchangeable with any of the other “M18 Fuel” tools. This saw did not come with a battery so it was fortunate that I already had two batteries for a Milwaukee impact wrench. This saw is somewhat different than a typical reciprocating saw because it is designed for one handed operation. The saw comes with a six inch blade but blades are also available in four inch and twelve inch blade lengths. Setup is very easy. You twist a knob and insert the blade which locks into place. You then snap the battery on and you’re ready to go. The trigger has a lock for safety which you switch off by the simple press of a button. The blade moves at a variable speed depending on how much you press the button. When I used the saw, I found that it was very powerful and never bogged down when I was using it. As an experiment, I cut a 2 x 4 piece of wood and it went through without a problem. Although the saw is designed for one handed operation, when I was cutting the 2 x 4, I needed to use my other hand to add a little downward force. For lighter uses, one hand would be more than adequate. I also have a standard reciprocating saw but this saw will come in handy especially when you need to use it in tighter spaces. The angle of the grip is good and it is comfortable to use. There was very little vibration while I was using the saw. I’ve never run the battery all the way down but it seems to run for a very long time without needing a charge. This is an excellent saw and will come in handy for a variety of uses. I definitely recommend this saw.

Awesome power tool!!! This is a tool only package!! The battery and the blade in the photo were purchased separately. After owning multiple tools that use the same battery, it makes the tool bag a lot lighter and more convenient without the cords and added weight!! The feel of the trigger is very precise for ease of cutting!! The saw has a LED light on the front that makes cutting in dark areas very easy. The tool has an overall feel of quality and heavy duty attributes only found on the best of tools. I would strongly recommend to anyone looking to fill out their tool bag! GREAT PRODUCT!!

I needed a compact reciprocating saw and decided on the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 18-Volt Brushless Cordless Hackzall. This saw is perfect for working on ladders, tight spaces or anywhere that one-handed operation is needed. At only 4.15 lbs., it's very light and well balanced. After using the Milwaukee Hackzall for several projects, I am quite impressed with it's performance. The M18 Cordless Hackzall includes a brushless motor which provides extended runtime and greater durability over standard brushed motors. It uses a no-tool blade changer and provides 7/8 inch stroke with variable speed motor from 0-3000 strokes per minute. The ergonomics are outstanding and the rubber handle provides good vibration control. The Milwaukee Hackkzall is a great addition for any contractor or anyone that needs a cordless one-handed reciprocating saw. Highly Recommended!!
