        Another excellent product from Milwaukee!
This Milwaukee MX FUEL portable power station performs exactly as a power supply should, and better than any others that I have seen. This Milwaukee product performs perfectly when all instructions are followed properly. This product comes in handy for providing me with pure sine wave power during those short electrical power interruptions or for using my electrical tools where there is no power outlets available. I appreciate the fact that there is no fuel needed and it can be safely operated indoors. The fan will run constantly, but is only as loud as my desk fan. This battery-operated power station easily handles whatever I attach, up to 3600W starting and 1800W continuous. I like that there are 2 XC406 (6 Ah and weighing about 10.5 lbs each) batteries, each with 4-bar LED status lights. I can run it with one or both batteries. These batteries will fit any MX Fuel tool and have a lock ring so you can secure them with a padlock. You do not need a separate charger to charge these batteries. They are charged by connecting the included heavy-duty 6' charging cord with the 3-prong plug to your electrical outlet. (You can also use a heavy duty extension cord) It will charge one battery first, and then switch to charge the other one. I also like that the side control include a push-button power switch, status LED lights for the remaining power in each battery, an overload indicator, a grounding terminal, and 2 AC outlets. It has a convenient carry handle, but I find it is easier to remove the batteries before relocating since the total weight is about 50 lbs. Another feature that is handy is that this can use Bluetooth One-Key to track the location and manage the tool on your mobile or computer. I like the convenient screws on the side where I mounted my Milwaukee dual charger for charging my power tools while out in the field. There is a 2-year warranty on the each battery and the equipme

Powering Tools and My Caffeine Addiction
The Milwaukee MX FUEL 3600 is a powerful and portable option for campsite, light-duty construction, and off-grid tool use. However, its limited continuous power, non-continuous battery switching, charging limitations (including the 3-hour total recharge time), constant fan noise, and awkward outlet placement require consideration. If portability and flexibility for powering tools are your priorities, its strengths outweigh its flaws for specific needs. But for sustained high-drain applications or users seeking whisper-quiet operation, alternative options might be a better fit. ONE-KEY integration and user-friendliness further enhance the power station's appeal for those valuing equipment tracking and security, but it's essential to understand the app's limitations in terms of recovery after theft. The rugged roll cage and fume-free operation add extra convenience and safety for various use cases. PROS: Gas-free and quieter than traditional generators: Ditch the fumes and noise pollution! This battery-powered option offers a quieter experience at campsites or while powering tools, although keep in mind it's not whisper-quiet due to the continuously running fan. Push-button convenience: No more messy pull cords! Start-up is effortless with a simple button press. Built-in LED indicators: Monitor your power levels at a glance with the conveniently placed LED lights, which display remaining battery capacity (4 bars to 1 bar). ONE-KEY compatible (select models): Track your power station and ensure security through the ONE-KEY app. Keep in mind that tracking capabilities rely on other users also having the app installed on their phones. This means it may not be possible to locate a stolen unit unless the thief or someone nearby has the app. However, features like inventory management, theft prevention with serial number tracking, and designated home base location still provide valuable peace of mind. Rugged roll cage: This tough exterior not only protects the unit from bumps and knocks, but also elevates it, keeping the sensitive electronics off the ground and away from moisture or dirt. No gas smell in tight quarters: Breathe easy! Unlike a traditional generator, the MX FUEL 3600 emits no fumes, making it ideal for use in enclosed spaces like sheds or garages. CONS: Limited continuous power: While it boasts impressive peak wattage, extended high-drain tasks like running a radiant heater for more than 2 hours aren't its forte. Non-continuous battery switching: Brace yourself for a momentary power hiccup when the higher battery depletes and the lower one takes over. Outlets out of service during charging: No multitasking while refueling! The outlets become unusable when charging batteries, limiting functionality during charging periods. Upside-down outlets: Be prepared for some awkward cable contortions! The outlet placement isn't the most user-friendly. Heavy batteries: Each battery weighs a hefty 13.5 lbs, making transport a two-handed affair. Consider removing them for easier carrying. Long charging times: Plan ahead! Each battery takes a hefty 90 minutes to recharge using the dedicated charger. This means a full recharge for both batteries will take approximately 3 hours.

        The Next Thing in Generators
Milwaukee has created a generator that is quieter than the tools it powers! This MX FUEL Portable Power Station Lithium-Ion Battery Generator is about the same footprint and only slightly taller than a gasoline-powered inverter/generator of equivalent power. It is also about the same weight. For my first project using this generator I used my 15A (1800 watt) chop saw; and the 3600 watt peak and 1800 watt running outlet provided all the power the saw needed. The chop saw never hesitated like it does on my gas inverter generator. It was a hot day, so I also ran a fan. And I even used the MX Fuel Battery Generator to supply power to recharge a dead car battery for a few hours. After I fully depleted the MX Fuel batteries, it took 3-1/4 hours (on an 80+ degree day) to fully recharge both batteries with one battery charging first and then automatically charging the other battery. It discharges the same way - first depleting one battery and then seamlessly switching to discharge the second battery. The 3 piece set (inverter and each of the 2 batteries) are Bluetooth enabled so the Milwaukee ONE-Key app on my phone is able to identify and track to whom and where the equipment pieces are assigned. (The ONE-Key app does not control or monitor or report operating status of any of its tracked equipment.) I like that there is a master ON-OFF button on the Power Station that allows tools to remain plugged in, but turns off power to them. Highly Recommended!

        Happiness is about Expectations
Like any tool ... the right tool, for the right job. I think the reason this gets such extreme reviews (lots of 5 Stars and lots of 1 Star) is Milwaukee made it look like a Generator, and call it a Generator, but it is not a Generator. It is a Power Station. If you are expecting a Generator, you likely will be disappointed. If you want relatively light weight (lighter if you carry the batteries separately), easily portable (center handle with rubber grip), easy to Start (push a button), producing no toxic fumes (can use in enclosed spaces), quiet (except a fan), no maintenance (just have to charge), cheaper to run, can be charged with Solar, Pure Sine (won't harm sensitive electronics) and can effectively make any Corded Tool a Battery Tool ... this is 5 Star!!! This is great for Camping, Tailgating, Picnics in a park, running high Amp (up to 15 Amp) devices for 'short periods'. It is not great for 'continuously running' high Amp devices for 'long periods'; which Generators are designed for. Installation could not be simpler. Remove the red cap on the batteries (see pic), slide them in, plug it in and let them fully charge (charges one battery at a time). Milwaukee's Batteries are interchangeable within a line. The MX Fuel is ideally suited for people already using MX Fuel products. Otherwise, the M18 18V Lithium-Ion Cordless 3600-Watt/1800-Watt Battery Powered Power Supply (320390147), with 4 M18 HD12's is a better choice for most Milwaukee Disciples. That said, you can use this to charge M18's and M12's. You can even mount a Milwaukee Charger to the side, with the two screws included (see pics). I was in NYC during Hurricane Sandy. Below 23rd street, there was no power for weeks. I lived on the 4th floor of an apartment building. No way I could use a Generator. Every day, I would walk a mile North and charge my phone. If I had this, I could have brought the 2 batteries and a MX Fuel Charger (311710366) with me. Instead of sweating in the dark, I could of had a fan and some lights. That would have been priceless!!!

        Nice, but could use improvements
I chose this portable power station generator because I trust the Milwaukee brand and have received nothing but superb tools from them. I have both gas and battery generators and have come to depend on them to supply power during a short outage or for camping. I chose this unit to supply a little extra power for our tail gate parties. I love that it's portable and has the wattage to power the small items I use at the stadium. Its heavy duty built with a metal roll cage. First thing I noticed that it is very heavy to carry with the batteries attached. I detach the batteries to make toting it much easier. The batteries charged rather quickly, the initial charge took around three hours. For light use, I use only one battery but happy to have the option to use both for heavier loads. Some stadiums no longer allow gas generators, so having this one saves me time calling to track down rules and regulations. Although it fulfills my needs, I see room for improvement. Running it inside, it's not as quiet as I expected, because the fan runs constantly. I would love to see USB ports on the unit. I can work around this, but they would be handy. I expected more power outlets and was disappointed when charging the battery the power outlets can't be used. I would also like the option for solar charging. I'm happy with this generator, it's great for my needs but I expected more options for the price.

Corded power wherever you want/quiet/very easy to use
I had a few days off so I used those days to rebuild a retaining wall that rotted out and collapsed. The retaining wall is not close to house power, so a generator was needed. I couldn't go with a gas generator, since the noise would be too loud to run for days on end, disturbing people working from home. I went with this Milwaukee MX Fuel power station battery generator. The power this thing has really surprised me! I used a 12-inch dual bevel sliding 15-amp miter saw to cut through dense pressure treated 8 foot long landscape logs and it cut these logs with no issue. I held the power button in on the miter saw and the blade spun at max RPM with no hesitation drawing power from the MX Fuel generator. I had 32 8-foot long landscape logs to cut, with corners, and this MX Fuel generator allowed me to get the job done. This MX Fuel generator is so quiet that it is no louder than a desk fan. Amped with how great this generator performed, I placed it on the floor of my utility trailer, connected it to my to electric sawzall, and cut the rotted boards from the square metal tubing. This 50-pound unit is so light-weight that I bring it anywhere corded power is needed. The metal roll cage is solid, with a knurled hand grip centered at the top, to make transport of the unit well balanced. No more gas refilling, or special attention to exhaust exit fumes, or the incessant loud noise of a typical open-framed generator. Want to turn on this MX Fuel generator? Just push a button! No more pull cords to start that are typically found on gas generators. I find it especially handy to view the on-board battery fuel gauges on both the generator, and the batteries, to give me an idea of how much battery capacity is left. Drawing down both batteries completely only takes under 3 hours to bring both back to 100% charge. The generator will charge the first battery to completion before pausing for 1 second to switch to charging the 2nd battery. The solid green light will be illuminated next to the battery that is fully charged. Charging the batteries is done by using the included power cord and plugging it into any 3-prong outlet. The battery pack themselves are rugged and set in place with a solid click. There is a locking hole for a padlock if you choose to lock the batteries to the generator itself. The fuel gauge on the generator itself shows that, when charging, the incremental blinking red light will show over 4 squares, with each square representing 25% capacity. We lost power yesterday for just under two hours, so I plugged my workstation into this MX Fuel generator and was able to continue working without skipping a beat. I downloaded and installed the OneKey app to keep track of the unit and added it to my inventory as well. With the OneKey app, if I have multiple One-Key items in an area, I can click "find" and it will blink the light on the unit to help me identify that unit. With the app, I can add/edit/delete certain items/people/places as well as lock and unlock tools I can view. I'm really finding this MX fuel battery generator handy and easy to use! I'm getting my feet wet with this MX Fuel battery generator and will look to expand my MX fuel collection soon with the 14" cut-off saw probably being next.

NOT VERY GOOD FOR WHAT IT COSTS
WAS VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE PRODUCT WHEN I ORDERED IT. FIRST OFF FOR THE PRICE IT SHOULD HAVE MORE THAN JUST ONE OUTLET AND MAYBE A USB AND USB C CHARGE PORT. ALSO BATTERY LIFE IS A JOKE. OVERALL NOT IMPRESSED SO I NOW HAVE A $2000 PAPER WEIGHT.

Heavy duty batteries that provide the power!
This battery works well with all the MX Fuel Tools. We have used these in both the MX Fuel Concrete Breaker and the MX Fuel 14" Cut-Off Saw. They work well and have a decent amount of runtime, while still have all the power. I like the fact that I can operate the cutoff saw inside without the fumes. I have 7 of these batteries currently and highly recommend them.

Good, but there's so much more potential
I'm a bit underwhelmed by this power station.  It can power a wide assortment of corded devices and does so reasonably well.  I've run the following with it: shop vac, floor fan, small 5 gal air compressor, M12/18 chargers, a 10" drill press, and even my home fridge (just for kicks).  No issues powering any of these items.  I did try a very old (20+ years) chop saw and it worked reasonably well, but it ran slightly sluggish for a second or two.  To fully stress this I tried running a portable A/C unit with a rated power draw of 8.0 amps.  Well, that didn't work out well.  The inverter trips up and the unit starts beeping as soon as the compressor kicks on.  Bummer.  I can't imagine the portable A/C exceeding the supposed 3600 watt peak of the inverter. As for the unit, it's nice that it takes MX batteries since they can be hot swapped as they run out.  The batteries charge up decently quick - I think it took over an hour to top one off from about 25%. Using the generator is simple - there's just one button on it.  Press it, wait a bit, then plug in your devices.  It stays on until powered down - I didn't have any issues with it shutting down when lower powered devices were hooked up (a problem with earlier models) Unfortunately at this price point, one expects more features, especially since this segment is rather competitive nowadays.  For example, it could benefit from a display that shows current power draw, estimated run time, or any useful metric. USB ports would be a great addition as well. There's no way to charge it using solar power, which would be great if you need to top it off at a remote locale or jobsite without electricity.  It's also rather hefty, especially with the batteries in place.  One other thing that perplexed me is that the outlets are upside down - not sure what prompted that design decision, but at first I thought I had the whole unit upside down!  And my last minor annoyance is that the fan is pretty loud. Pros?  It's well built with a rather sturdy metal frame, works well when powering devices that do not draw too many amps, and it has a nifty attachment point for an M12/18 battery (M12 chargers will not fit!). Overall, it's OK.  Future iterations of this product could benefit from some of the features mentioned above.

          Lots of lost opportunity
I give this three stars and a begrudging recommendation because it does what it advertises it can do. This is a beefy inverter in a rugged case. But there are several things that bug me about this inverter. Especially considering the price point, which should have all the basic options for what you are paying. There is no pass thru power or UPS function. If the unit is plugged into wall power to charge the batteries, the outlets are non functional. The cooling fan always runs full blast even without a load. Not sure how much power this uses, but it is some power. No display to show any functionality. All you have is a lighted power button, the OneKey light, and lights to show battery state of charge. I thought maybe you would be able to see more information about how much power is being used in the app, but no. The OneKey app is about worthless for this device. It has a pretty small amount of run time. The two six amp hour batteries are about 432 watt hours each, so any load near the capacity of the inverter will drain them in short order. The outlets are mounted upside down, so if you wanted to put a watt meter inline with the load, the display will be upside down. I will say that the power cord to charge the batteries is really really nice.
