A: We offer an extension in 18" (48-20-6945).
A: Of course, anything can happen. But, this extension is as well made as any bit I have used and, if that’s what I needed, I’d give it a go. Good luck!
A: I don't think it would break, it would appear that is what it is made for, You could try it, and if it doesn't work, you haven't lost much.
A: My experience is that it works fine with a chisel. The product description also states that it is suitable for chisels. Depending on your situation, you might want to consider the 18-inch extension. I did find that I needed to work some lubricant into the slide mechanism after several months. It was needed to address rusting. The extension is a great accessory for my hammer drills. It eliminates a lot of bending over. The accessory that I can not find is an SDS Plus to Max bit adapter.
A: Yes I love it thank you
A: This extension is designed to fit in an SDS Plus chuck. Since I have SDS Plus hammer drills, it never occurred to me to see if it would fit in a three-jaw chuck. I tried it in both 1/2-inch and 3/8-inch chucks and it fit both, and the chuck tightened and centered the extension--no wobble. (It would work the same on a SDS Plus drill bit.) I do not really recommend doing this and since I do not have a hammer drill with a three-jaw chuck, I do not know if the chuck would remain tight during repeated hammer blows.
A: It is SDS or Slotted Drive System, technically not 1/2" drive. Though, you can, and I have chucked them up in my 1/2" hammer drill.
