Light duty
Light duty use is fine the finish on the ends will probably chip just like the paint on others will bit they are comfortable to use and look nice if that important to you but if you use them hard like I did you will probably brake the end off

    Pry as I Might
Claiming up to 40% more prying strength and seemingly attributing that to the I-Beam design of the steel shafts I presume that the claim is compared to non I-Beam designs. That might be true but speaking from experience I can get more prying power from the 18 inch Milwaukee bar when compared to another good quality 18 inch pry bar I own but the advantage, as far as I can tell, is due to the bigger angle on the prying end. The Milwaukee bar has a 24 degree angle and my other bar only has a 20 degree angle. There was another difference between the two 18 inch bars. The Milwaukee bar is a true 18 inches in length and my other (very expensive) bar came up short at 17 ½ inches! The solid metal I-Beam core runs all the way from the pry end to the striking cap and that is good design. The steel is chrome plated for protection and longevity. The tri-lobe plastic handles are comfortable to hold. The 24 inch bar has a rubber like protection cover on the sharp end for safety. The packaging is designed to be the tool storage as well. This is a useful feature because if a bar is not in its place and not known to be in use it serves to remind me to find the bar and retrieve it. Each of the bars, 8 inch through 24 inch lengths comes with a Milwaukee lifetime guarantee.

Good prybar set. They are made very well, and the metal shanks have a lot of heft to them. I have not had the time to test the metal hardness on the Rockwell tester at work, but it is definitely harder than your average off the shelf steels. The ends of the handles have steel caps on them, which help with wear from hammer blows. I was a little bit surprised that the different sizes of pry bar have such different curves and profiles. I thought that they would be the same profile, scaled differently to size. It seems as though each size was engineered a little bit differently. The angles, profiles, and sizes differ greatly. I am currently neutral on this, and may find uses or a reason later, but as of now it is just a side note. I actively use and abuse these working in a machine shop and construction. Great find, as they can really take a beating.

I was anticipating receiving this set but not really anticipating something to use them on (like a broken brake). Luckily, my neighbor was replacing the front bearings on his pickup and looked like he needed help. In came the Milwaukee pry bar set to the rescue. These pry bars came in handy as I don’t think we could have removed the parts otherwise (unless we had a specialty tool or a torch). His truck came from Michigan where they salt the roads which meant that everything under the car was crusty and needed to be “coaxed” loose. • The I-beam design of the pry bars keeps them from bending and allows for much more pressure that can be leveraged. • The only drawback is that these tools look so good new that I didn’t want to mar the tip or get them dirty but after all, they are a tool and are meant to be used (not really a drawback). • The grips are comfortable to hold don’t have any sharp edges or mold-seams to scratch your hand on. • The end of the bars have a metal strike cap that allows you to pound on them without worrying about shattering the grip. • The chrome finish looks good and should keep the tools from rusting. While this set might be a little more expensive than some others, it is a Milwaukee tool which means quality, durability and usability. I think that any home mechanic (or professional) would be happy to have this set.

Heavy-duty pry bar set in four useful sizes -- 24", 18", 12" and 8". I ordered these mostly because I needed some smaller pry bars. I have a 36" wrecking bar and one of Estwing's larger handy bars that I've used quite a bit while rehabbing our deck, but a number of times I've found myself wishing I had something better suited for tighter spaces and smaller jobs. These are perfect -- and thanks to the I-beam construction, the 24" is plenty big enough to tackle a heavier job without the added weight of a round wrecking bar. It's hard to judge the quality of steel just by looking, but it seems like good quality, judging from the sound, with heavy chrome plating. The lifetime warranty adds some peace of mind. The handles are triangular (Milwaukee calls them Tri-Lobe) rather than round, but even the small one is meaty and fits my hand nicely, even wearing gloves. A metal strike cap is another nice touch, and assuming the description on the package is accurate, the steel bar extends all the way through the handle to the strike cap. Bottom line, a high-quality set of pry bars in four useful sizes -- and at a very reasonable price point. Highly recommended.
