A:Â This bit will certainly do the job. I used them to drill through stainless steel and they perform great. FYI make sure you keep them cool if you use them like I did. I sprayed them with water before and after the hole was done and had no issues.

Great for multiple applications
I use on a daily basis any combination of these bits for anything from wood to hard metal. I’ve noticed these will fill after a few metal jobs. But as far as using for wood they are amazing even if the top has filled from hard metal usage. I don’t know if that’s carry any kind of replacement warranty if dulled but really would like to find out. I am a heavy Milwaukee user and regular Milwaukee enthusiast as well as unofficial brand embassador. I eat sleep and breathe Milwaukee tools and I share my thoughts and enthusiasm with others.

Good quality
I do a fair amount of fabrication work using wood and all kinds of metals. I like using these because I can use them with my impact driver on wood if I don’t have my drill handy. And since they have the hex shank I have a lot less slippage in my drill. You just have to be more careful of the bit grabbing, like when you’re breaking through a piece of metal using your hand drill, because it won’t slip in your chuck, but may either break or slip inside the hex. I haven’t had these slip, but have on less quality bits.
I use a ton of #10 screws and wanted bits for pre drilling holes. These aren’t super long but they are quick. They drill faster than most other bits I use and I can use them in my impact drivers when I’m in a hurry.
I honestly love that the Shockwave bits come ready with a 1/4 hex bit and I will definitely be acquiring more after using these extensively.
I especially like the tip design as they don’t dull easily and honestly I use these to drill sheet metal, wood and hard wood all the time and they just work.
Bought these bits because of the Milwaukee name, but have truly been disappointed. First off it is so hard to pull the bits from the case. I've cut myself pulling bits from the case before. At first I thought these bits were pretty good, but I was drilling into soft materials. When trying to drill into harder materials, its like pushing the bit through instead of actually drilling. I would not buy these again ... period.

Strong and convenient
Milwaukee's Shockwave Titanium drill bits are great. Years ago, I relied on straight shaft drill bits (that's all there was) when I needed to drill a hole. I remember times when the bit would spin inside the drill because I didn't tighten it enough. These new bits don't have that problem and they can be used in drills and impact wrenches. The 1/8" size is my standard, I use them constantly. It is the size that seems to work with every job. They are also great for starting a hole and then move onto a bigger bit. They do break, so I was happy to see them available in a 5 pack.
I like this type of drill bit. I've evolved as technology has advanced.. Currently you find me carrying an impact/hammer drill 99% of the time. And yet at times I get caught off guard with the need to drill a hole to make what I'm doing easier.. Its not always convenient to run home and get a chuck style drill gun. Which is where having drill bits/impact bits on hand works out great.
The Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE 1/8 inch twist drill bits are very sharp and cut very well. They come in a 5 pack and have a hexagon end. The hexagon head keeps the bit from slipping when drilling which is a great feature. I even used it in a small battery driver tool and it even could drill holes because of the hexagon end. These bits are titanium which makes them cut better and helps them to stay sharp. They can also be resharpened with a drill bit sharpener.
Milwaukee bits,1/8 inch,titanium,twist drill bits,5-pack,quad tip,for wood,plastics and metals.
A great product from Milwaukee, this is a Titanium twist drill bit for impact drivers and drills. This Shockwave impact duty drill bit is 1/8 inch in size, with a 1/4 inch shank and can be used for wood, plastics and metals (pictures included). I have Milwaukee tools and accessories and they are a quality product that last for great service, (5X the life of Black Oxide drill bits). The Shockwave Titanium drill bits have a quad tip and are engineered for extreme durability and longer life. This also provides a precision start to prevent walking and with the Red Helix, you have a rapid chip removal to limit the heat build to stay sharper longer. I use these bits in my workshop for different applications and they come in a 5-pack.
Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE 1/8 in. Titanium Twist Drill Bit (5-Pack)
US company,well-known brand, Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE 1/8 in. Titanium Twist Drill Bit (5-Pack) convient 5 pack,
long lasting Quad Edge Tip, last five times longer than Black Oxide Drill Bits Titanium Coated, Ideal for Aluminum, Duct/Sheet Metal, PVC, Steel, Wood, 1/4" Hex Shank, For Use in Drills or Impact Drivers Tapered Web - Stronger, More Durable Bit., very sharp bits, engineered for extreme durability and long life,Returnable 90-Day
Milwaukee, in my opinion, has lived up to it's reputation of producing a quality product. These titanium coated drill bits are far superior than the bargain black oxide bits. The split point drill bits stay on target when starting to drill a hole. The design of the drill bits also remove chips from the hole, preventing the drill from binding. The titanium coating also aids in dispersing heat. The 1/4" shank is perfect for impact drivers and drills, making it easy to switch from a drill bit to a driver bit. Definitely a time saver on the job.
