You need a carbide-tipped masonry bit.
The 29 piece set includes up to 1/2” bits. The larger bits are much more expensive.
Well Bob, I can’t help you there. I have used the bits in my 1/4” impact makita and they seem to work well
Interesting question! I suggest contacting Milwaukee customer service, or Home Depot customer service for their return/warranty policy. I'm sure either would replace or refund for a factory defect (e.g., a bit broke within minutes of reasonable use), but these ARE drill bits and are expected to wear over time, even with reasonable use.
