Not really. I tilt the "tray" on each row out and then pull the bit out. It's not the easiest thing to do but it works. Tipping it is a bit tight, and the bits are in their slots pretty tight. Good luck.
I believe the silver bits are a little tougher of material as they are advertised as 50x longer life. Where the black bits are advertised as 30x longer life. I don't think you can go wrong with either option. I personally have a set of the black bits and they haven't let me down.
SHOCKWAVE™ Impact Hex bits SAE Bit: 1/16", 5/56", 1/8", 7/64", 1/8", 9/64", 5/32", 3/16", 1/4"
Instead of the bit going directly into the drill an possibly stripping it goes into a separate piece and protects it from wearing out over time.
I agree the bits are secured tightly in the racks. The racks do tilt down which allows more room to grip the bits but they are tight when new. In time they will loosen up.
The holder is magnetic the bits are not
What I like to do to prevent that from happening is to buy it online for pickup at my store. That way if the inventory is wrong you will get a text and or email telling you that and saving you a trip.
They were the Perfect drill bits.
I don't understand, whenever I have bought sets of bits, they come in a case Are you saying you bought a set of bits that did not come in a case? .If you bought a set of loose bits, it's probably a way to supplement an already existing set with a case and you just bought the wrong thing.
They are not magnetized.
