This utility knife is amazing. It has a nice weight to it and the blade itself is extremely sharp. So be careful and keep away from kids for sure. I had to break down a bunch of boxes and cut through some drywall. This knife came in handy. It has a lock on the side if you want to keep the blade out. The material is really nice so makes clean up easier.

This is a great utility knife with a lot of great features that definitely set it apart from other run of the mill knives. The retractable blade is a great safety feature, and it operates smoothly and easily with a push of your thumb (and it retracts automatically). The knife has storage for a few extra blades, and the knife opens up easily with a thumb screw (no screwdriver needed!) when it's time to replace a blade. I would definitely buy this utility knife again!

This utility knife has become my “go to” blade for opening the hard to open plastic molded packing. Things like cards of batteries and other products that are sealed into molded plastic. I like that the knife is self retracting as for me I feel safer using it rather than a static blade utility knife. I also use it to cut cardboard into small sections for recycling.

I work in a place that requires a safety type blade, we use some cheap plastic knives that fall apart In your hands. I'm glad a good knife has finally hit the market. I like the easier to change blade, still not the easiest on this type of knife but much easier than others. I use it on some pretty corrosive materials and it is holding up just fine. Takes a minute to get used to using but works great in the end

I do a lot of recycling and this knife is absolutely perfect for cutting up cardboard. See the two pictures below one with a knife retracted and one with the blade extended. The spring loaded blade is very easy to push with your thumb and retracts quickly and safely once you release it. It is great for recycling and would probably work great on sheet rock as well. I like the fact that the blade retracts because then you don’t have to worry about inadvertent slicing of material or body parts :-)

The MILWAUKEE SELF-RETRACTING UTILITY KNIFE is comfortable to hold, easy to use and ti extend the blade out for use. The button to extend the blade is nice and large and has no-slip grooves making it easier than some other brands. Changing out the blades is also very easy (no need for a screwdriver) with the large button that just needs a turn with your fingers to open the knife body. Works great.

This is my go to apron knife. I like it for a lot of reasons. Mostly because I can't forget to close it before quickly shoving it back in my pocket. It does require a bit of getting used to, but for opening boxes and cutting cardboard, it works great. I also really like the 2 blade positions to limit the depth of cut. The knife is comfortable for me to use and I am left handed. It's easy to store and change blades as well. It's all metal and pretty tough. I'd definitely buy another one of these ASAP if I lost it

This retractable utility knife by Milwaukee is the best! It has a solid feel to it, the surface is matted to aid the grip, and it feels good in hand. The blade will only come out when you slide the button conveniently located at the top of the knife and will retract when you let go. It does take some getting used to, at times you’d use your thumb or your index finger to push the slider, but it’s doable. Still the best utility knife I’ve ever had. The retractable blade is a great safety feature because you sure don't want the blade sticking out when you carry this knife around with you. It has lanyard opening at the other end, so I just carry it with me and easily use when needed. I am using this knife every day, from opening cardboard boxes to cutting them down so they fit in the trash, and more. Just used it to turn a cardboard box inside out to return an item I had purchased online. The Milwaukee utility knife is holding up just fine and will no doubt last a long time. It even stores 5 spare blades for the added convenience and flexibility of use. What can I say, it's Milwaukee! Another awesome tool by this brand. I own a few Milwaukee tools, have a high confidence in this brand and this utility knife won't disappoint. It’s a must have in a toolbox. Highly recommended.

The construction of this utility knife is very good. The case, button, sliding tray, spring and even the thumb screw that holes the two halves together are all metal. The blade will only stay extended while you keep the button slid forward. Once you let go of the button the spring pulls the blade back in the handle for safety. This is a good idea and can help prevent cuts. The blades are easy to change. No tools needed. The screw can be removed with fingers. Right out of the package the screw was very tight but since then it's been easy to access.

Milwaukee Self-Retracting Utility Knife The Milwaukee Self-Retracting Utility Knife is a great knife to have around in the garage for use of cutting up cardboard or like materials for the recycling bin, or for keeping in the kitchen to open packages. The awesome feature is the safety feature of the self retracting blade. In order to use the knife, you extend the lever forward which exposes the blade. When you release it, whether outright or controlled, the blade automatically retracts into the knife blade. This is an awesome safety feature, especially if young people are using or have access to the knife. The housing of the knife is metal, coated in a nice red base. The knife allows a tool free blade change by unscrewing the two halves and then flipping or changing the blade completely. The housing also stores five (5) spare blades. The housing has a lanyard hole for a chord attachment. The knife comes with a limited lifetime warranty. The knife is made in China. I'm very satisfied with Milwaukee Tools and their knives. They are very well made, and work flawlessly. I rate this knife 5*s out of 5. Thank you Milwaukee Tools for allowing me to try your product. Thank you Home Depot Seeds for offering this item.
