The WORKSKIN MID-WEIGHT BALACLAVA FACE MASK is nice and easy to use. It is easy to slide over your head. It can be worn with the bottom half over your nose or below your chin. The mask lets me wear my glasses without interfering with them. A hard hat fits easily over the mask. The mask is warm to wear when it is cold outside. The mask will work great for when you are hunting, as it will not interfere with your gun.

It is important to have face protection throughout the coming brutal winter months especially when spending extended periods of time outdoors.. This is my favorite face mask to date. It is very comfortable yet covers my entire face easily with a long bib that extends deep into my jacket. The material is thin but sturdy, breathable and well constructed with heavy stitching. I have not been able to test its warmth level in very cold temps at this point but its wind protection seem very good and it is labeled at waterproof which is great. Easily folds up and neatly stores in my pocket. Ready for winter

I really like the Milwaukee WORKskin Hat. This hat is perfect to wear under my ball cap at my cold football tailgates. This hat would also fit perfectly under a Hard Hat. What I like most, is the breathable fabric which helps to prevent my glasses from fogging. You can wear it with multi-positions. I can wear it with just my eyes showing or with my full face showing. If I just want to keep my neck warm, I can pull it all the way down. This hat is lightweight and comfortable and I don't feel bulked up!

Packaged in just a plain clear plastic bag with a cardboard backing I was expecting the material on this balaclava to be thicker. Normally, they're made of wool. This material is quite thin and the wind goes right through it. There is no opening for your nose. So, the moisture from your breath when you exhale starts to collect and gets the material (which appears to be nylon) wet. It looks like they did an adequate job on the stitching.
This is probably good enough to wear under a hooded jacket with a set of ski goggles during the winter for snow-blowing or skiing. Definitely not warm enough to wear on its own though.

This is a good cap for protection from the cold and can be used to protect your head from paint overspray. The material makes it easy to wear under a hardhat or a ballcap. It is made out of material that stays dry in snow and rain while protecting you from the cold. The front can be pulled over your mouth or worn under your chin. I really like it. Pull it down around your neck and you have a scarf. So many different uses for this workskin.

Picked up the Milwaukee Workskin Mid-Weight Balaclava Face Mask as insulated protection under my work helmet especially on those windy days. It's thin and lightweight quality doesn't give you that extra bulk under your helmet as with heavy wool masks which means your helmet stays on your head better without the chance of sliding off. I got it ahead of the winter weather so haven't had the chance to test it out in the zero temperatures but moisture wicking materials, I don't anticipate a problem. Another thing that I noticed and like about it is the section that covers between the chin and the nose can easily be pulled down without to much bulk while still providing insulation to the neck area. The price might seem a little much, but with the Milwaukee name attached to it, you know you're getting quality.

The Milwaukee Balaclava Model 421B, which I got a chance to check out, is very thin and very lightweight and doesn’t seem to itch the way thicker, heavier masks do.
The 421B is designed to fit comfortably under hard hats (I’m a homeowner / DIY’er, so I don’t really wear hard hats all that much). I find it to be really comfortable. It doesn’t seem to scratch or cause itching the way my old ski mask does.
My primary use of this will be for clearing snow – no matter how I angle the discharge chute on my snow thrower I still get some snow blown back into my face by the wind. This balaclava seems ideal for that – it covers without causing overheating and fits easily under the hood of my parka. (Note that I’ve not actually used the thing in heavy snow conditions yet – but it does a nice job of covering and, with a pair of goggles, pretty much eliminates any open spots for the snow to blow through).
Professional trades folks will, of course, have many more uses for this cold weather garment. I try to avoid working outdoors in cold weather but sometimes outside stuff around the house just needs fixing and can’t be put off until spring and I expect to get good use out of this new Milwaukee.
It can be worn in a number of ways – full face mask or pulled up, leaving your nose uncovered or pulled down so that your neck and head are covered but your face is not, or even pulled all the way down so that it covers only your neck. It folds up very small and can fit easily into a coat pocket.
Materials and stitching are very good, no loose threads or jumbled seams that can cause irritation. A well made piece of cold weather gear. One size pretty much fits most folks, I think.
