They have a moisture control potting mix. Plants in pots dry out faster than in ground. Each one is formulated for its intended use.

How many quarts of garden soil in 2 cu. ft.
Asked by: Rock
A cubic foot is approximately 25.75 dry quarts. So, 2 cubic feet would have approximately 51.5 dry quarts. Hope this helps. There are a number of calculators on the internet that will do the math for you.

I have some of the worst soil (hard red clay) for growing a vegetable garden and I use this yearly for helping enrich the soil and enhancing the plants ability to grow. To call this solely garden soil is slightly inaccurate as is it a mix of soil and nutrient rich ingredients with a bit mulch mixed in. It has a slight odor when applied which I believe comes from a bit of manure that is mixed into the soil. The smell dissipates after a few hours though and really isn’t that bad. The area I have for my raised garden bed is small at about 10 by 3 but I still used about 5 bags or so for that area. This garden soil is best for gardening and is not really for potted plants, although I will say I have used for that purpose as well. As far as growing is concerned, this has worked well for helping grow healthy vegetable plants, although I have had some types do better than others but I think that is more dependent on other factors than the Miracle Gro. 4 stars

Will use the bags I bought for the raised garden bed my son built for me - on legs because of the critters we have in Dolan Springs! Only problem for me is that I bought the 2 cubic feet bags and they are too heavy for me - 110 pounds and 5'3", 82 years old. Tried dragging one off the pile in the back of my Expedition and it nearly topppled me over backward!! Got a couple of young men who are friends to unload the rest of the bags (and the one on the ground, too).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from FULL OF SEDGE WEED Days after we spread Miracle Gro Garden Soil in our landscape garden we began to see grass-like weeds popping up. They took over the garden and grew at a ridiculous speed. We pull all of them and 3 days later they are back, growing right through the 4 inches of mulch we have laid down. They are impossible to kill. This has cost me and my family HOURS AND HOURS of time pulling weeds in the sweltering Florida sun. So many hours! At first I didn’t know where these weeds came from. But a few weeks later we used another bag of the same soil in a raised garden bed, and as I shook the soil out of the bag I found these same weeds growing in the soil INSIDE of the sealed new bag. And sure enough, we can’t grow anything in that garden bed now, the sedge weed has choked everything out. It’s infuriating that a product that’s supposed to help my garden grow has ruined our garden and has cost us so much time and money. DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

This is not potting soil- a good deal of small partially decomposed twigs, some pea sized gravel, but it had no foreign matter that I could see Dark in color it functioned as a good top coat to fill in some low lying areas.

It is too dry and not an earthy consistency I like. My pants don't like it either. If you mix it with other soils it would be fine.
