Product Details

Keep your succulent plants happy and fed with Miracle-Gro Succulent Plant Food. This easy-to-use plant food gets to work as soon as it's applied, feeding instantly. Simply apply directly to soil and water as normal. We recommend applying 2 pumps for small pots and 5 pumps for large pots (over 6" diameter). Make sure to rinse from leaves as you water. For best results, feed your succulents every two weeks. In addition to feeding, other factors that contribute to growing healthy succulents include using a lightweight, well-draining soil and providing them with the right amount of light. A common misconception is that all succulents like hot temperatures. Some do, but others need a bit of protection from afternoon sun. Do some research on the varieties you're growing to ensure you place them in the right spot. In general, purple, red, and orange-leaved varieties grow best and most colorfully in full sun. Miracle-Gro Succulent Plant Food is great to use on all succulents, including cacti, jade, aloe vera, zebra plant, moonstones, prickly pear, and more.

      A:  Mine didn't foam either but it was because the pump was defective. You can follow directions on the bottle for pouring some directly into water - quite easy.

          A:  There is not five times as much nitrogen. Succulents don't require that much nitrogen. NPK ratio is 0.5 - 1 - 1 The recommended ratio for succulents.

          A:  GreenFairy, this product does not contain 5 times more nitrogen then phosphorus or potassium. The amount of nitrogen in this product is 0.5% and the amount of phosphorus and potassium is 1% each.

            A:  It is 0.5-1-1, so half as much. Cacti and succulents need low nitrogen fertilizer to thrive

              So easy to use. Just pump out the amount as instructed for the size plant and you’re done. You can mix it in with the water if you’d like, too. I’m using it on all my cactus and succulents plus my Purple Heart wondering Jew plant.

                Miraculous Indeed
                My 3 year old jade grew leggy. Started using this fertilizer a few months ago. Now my jade has new growth on every branch.

                  Horrible product
                  As a very experienced cactus grower, I can tell you that the Miracle-Gro formulators know nothing about the nutrient requirements specific to cacti and succulents. This is the way to do it -- from the Osmocote Cacti & Succulents formulation available in Australia, see the below photo. If Miracle-Gro can match that formulation for liquid and/or slow-release fertilizers, they'll earn business from a lot of customers like me who know what they're doing and wouldn't touch the Miracle-Gro Succulent Plant Food with a 10-foot pole.
